Forty-eight

New Year's Eve. Finally.

I'm not doing any New Year's resolutions or anything because I already feel like a new version of me. So the new year, new me stuff isn't it.

But I'm going to try and be more affectionate towards Valentina. Maybe tell her all the things I like about her more. The way she does to me.

I blush too much each time I try.

Tonight, is a good night. Zoë is with Quinn tonight and Quinn is with Valentina and she's with me, so basically Zoë and I are spending new years together.

Birdie decided to go to the school New Year's party, with everyone from school. Zoë and I still didn't like partying too much and we wanted to be with Quinn and Val for the midnight kiss.

But that doesn't mean we aren't getting ready together.

Me and Birdie are at Zoë's  getting ready for tonight.

Valentina said we were going out tonight. To a club. I wasn't exactly too thrilled because I wanted to spend the night in with her but she promised that as soon as midnight arrived, we'd be gone.

"So theme of tonight girl?" Birdie asked.

"Well, Letty and I over here are getting fucked tonight." Zoë said as she toser out dresses on the bed.

"Okay fair enough, tell me how it goes yeah." Birdie said. "Do I go with black or green?" She asked holding up two dresses.

"I say the green one. Might catch Josh's attention." I said to her.

"Oh yeah definitely." Zoë said.

"Okay." Birdie said happily as turned to change into her dress.

"Are you and Quinn official?" I asked Zoë as I finished doing my makeup.

"Kinda, I don't know." She says so nonchalantly.

"Oh my gosh, please tell me everything." I turn around on my seat and look at her. She's a little pink.

Zoë doesn't really blush for anyone. Unlike me. I'll blush at the slightest bit of attention from Valentina.

"I don't know yet. I mean maybe, we've been hanging out all of winter break and—"

"Have you asked her officially yet?" I asked her tossing her my mascara like always.

"I want to, I mean she kinda asked me but I'm unsure." She said before she put some mascara on.

"Zo, what did she ask exactly? I mean Valentina asked me on a ferris wheel with a whole necklace and everything. I mean our moment was everything to me. So how'd she ask you?" I asked her curiously.

"Okay," she took a moment to giggle to herself. Zoë doesn't really giggle so Quinn did was something. "We were sitting together the other night and just talking for a while, about everything. And then she sort of just called me girlfriend, so casually. She was like "I mean having a girlfriend who's intellectually smart and kind is everything, also helps that you're pretty." Like it was the most casual things ever." She paused and then put some lip gloss on.

"And I asked her what she meant, and she just said that she has the best girlfriend. So I don't know if that was her way of asking or not. Like does that mean our relationship is on pending?"

"Zo on pending?" I laughed at her wording.

"It seems like to her you're definitely her girlfriend. But if you want to make it like official, official in your eyes you should ask her." I said.

"Maybe, I don't know. I don't want to ruin whatever we have going on."

"Zo do it! She clearly already sees you as her girlfriend. And tonight would be amazing." I hype her up for it as Birdie walks out of the bathroom.
