I told the girls everything and instead of shopping for Halloween we went shopping for tonight.

I got a light brown dress that was a halter neck. It's satin and falls just above my knee, it ties at the neck with two pieces of satin that runs from the start of my neck around the back.

The neckline of the dress is a little out of what I'd normally go for in dresses because it's like an inverted triangle but I like it.

I also bought some silver heels to go with while I wear silver jewellery.
After shopping I went straight home and told Colton I was going out tonight.

Like normal, he wanted to know who with and I just said on a date.

I've never seen a man act like a teenage girl before but he did. He was excited for me when I said it was my first date ever and he wanted lots of pictures before I left.

I also had to beg him not to walk me to the car the car because then he'd see it was my English teacher and then things wouldn't go well.

After all that I headed upstairs to shower and basically scrub myself until I felt more than clean. I washed my hair and everything. I wanted to look nice tonight.

After I got dressed and put on my best pair of underwear, just in case of anything, like Zoë said.

I dried my hair first, then curled it so it had some bounce to it rather than its usual wave. I left it down to cascade my back over the string ties of my dress. Then I did my makeup and went with more of a bold look. I put my dress on then my shoes and lathered my body in perfume.

I checked the time and saw I had five minutes left and I checked my appearance once more. I hoped I looked okay for her. I mean she looks good in everything she wears while im sure she'd run the other way if she saw me in a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt.

I went downstairs still checking my appearance to make sure I looked hot enough.

"You look so pretty, kiddo." Colton said as he waited at the bottom of the stairs.

"Letty you look like a princess, you look so beautiful." Kinsley said standing next to him. She had her hands placed on her jaw and cheeks in an awe moment.

"Thank you." I said I  checked my appearance once more in the mirror behind them both.

"You're going to knock him off his feet." Colton said.

I had forgotten to mention that I was going out with a girl.

"Her feet Colton." I said with a smile and his only managed to grow.

"Oh Letty, that's even more exciting. You're going to blow her away. I'm happy." He said in excitement.

Lately having all these people around me that seemed excited for my news was odd. I wasn't used to it. The girls is a different story but Colton, my own dad would've never cared for this stuff but he does. My dad would've said bye from the couch while probably drinking and I'd come back home to chaos, while Colton stands in front of me taking a million and one pictures on a digital camera and a Polaroid. It's comforting, a sense of comfort I wasn't used to.

"Okay you better go, I think I see a car out there. I'll see you when you get back or tomorrow morning, let me know." Colton said as he opened door for me.

"Can you bring me back chicken nuggets?" Kinsley asked full of excitement.

"I don't know Kinny." I said even unsure of where I was going.

"Please?" She said.

"How about we make chicken nuggets all of tomorrow Kinny?" Colton suggested.

"Okay!" The six year old replied with excitement.
