Sarah's POV

I woke up to see that Noah had tried to call me a few more times. Since I couldn't bring myself to block him on snapchat I just took the app off my phone. I needed to move on.

I made my way down to the kitchen to make myself some breakfast and was surprised to see Chrissy and Derek awake.

"Dude, why did you leave last night?" Chrissy asked me with her mouthful of cereal.

"I wasn't feeling well, the alcohol hit me hard, sorry i didn't tell you" I said as I poured myself a cup of coffee.

"It's cool, I'm just glad you're okay" she said as she hugged me. Raising her eyebrows "you are okay... right?"

"Yeah totally, I'll be fine, I mean he's just a guy right, there's plenty of them out there" clearly lying to myself.

chrissy slams her hand on the counter "that's my girl"

But there isn't any like Noah Sebastian I thought to myself.

A week later

"What's this" I asked picking the envelope up from the kitchen table.

"I don't know, it's for you obviously, it has your name on it" chrissy says as she throws her hands up "I gotta go to work, I'll see ya later"

I walked out to the back patio and began to read. And when I realized who the letter was from I took a deep breath...

"My Sweet Sarah, I tried calling you but you won't answer so I'm doing it the old school way and writing this letter to you. I can't begin to describe how sorry I am. I'm sorry for what happened to you. I'm sorry for what those pricks did to you. But most importantly I'm sorry I haven't been there for you. You needed me and like a coward I walked away. I'm sorry, please forgive me. I can't express how much I regret my actions and you have every right to hate me. Please know that I never meant to hurt you. From the moment I set my eyes on you I knew it was you I wanted. And it scared me. And it still scares me. When you're ready and want to talk I'll be here" - Noah

I folded the letter up and held it up to my chest. I closed my eyes and pictured Noah and I. Together. Happy. As the tears fell from my eyes. I couldn't help but think to myself how better off Noah would have been if he hadn't of met me. If we hadn't of crossed paths. He's so amazing and deserves someone who can give him the love he can give in return. And that person is not me. I fell back into my old ways once again.

3 months later.

I had went through a deep depression that first month. I read his letter over and over again until I finally built up the courage to throw it away. Slowly but surely I was moving on. I had kept myself off of social media so I wouldn't see anything of or related to Bad Omens. I spent my time writing. It was the only thing that made me truly happy. Lyrics, poems, short stories. I felt like my old self again.

"Guess what" chrissy came into my bedroom jumping up and down.

"What" I said not looking up from my journal.

"I got us tickets to a festival" she said as she waved them in the air.

"What kind of festival" I said as I closed my journal.

"Oh, uh ya know just some art thing"

"What about Derek, doesn't he want to go with you?"

"No, he's not really into this sort of thing, please sarah go with me" she begged.

"Of course Chris"

Weeks went by and chrissy and I were on our way to this Art festival. What was a 2 hour ride felt more like 6. I hadn't heard anything about it so I wasn't too sure what to expect.

When we arrived at the festival, I noticed how people were dressed and it wasn't very artsy in my opinion so I was confused. That is until we got to the main gate.

"Uh thi- this isn't an art festival is it?" I said as i pointed up at the sign.

"Well... technically it is, ya see it's a music and tattoo festival" chrissy said through her teeth.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I go to walk away, annoyed with her. Chrissy always did this. Anytime it was something she thought I might not want to do she wouldn't fully tell me just so I'd go with her.

"Sarah come on, please? It'll be fun" she said as she pulled me to the main gate.

After everything with Noah I wasn't too keen on the idea but we did drive 2 hours to be here so I was gonna make the best of it.

"Fine, but you owe me a few beers for this one"

"Yes! You got it, let's go" she said pulling me inside.

We walked around the festival and I couldn't help but feel out of place, so many people here, the music was so loud it was deafening. The concerts were one thing but this was intense. I looked to my left and saw the main stage and when I looked to my right I saw all of the tattoo booths, lined up with people. Most of the people walking around were either drunk or half naked. This definitely was not my scene. And I just wanted to leave. It began to get dark and chrissy was pulling me near the main stage.

We saw band after band after band. It reminded me of Noah. I kept trying to get the images of him on stage out of my head. I just sipped on my beer hoping we would be leaving soon.

"Whooooooo" chrissy yelled while holding her drink in the air.

As i went to finish my beer a familiar sound played over the speakers... the crowd went wild. Mosh pits beginning to form. And I was getting shoved left and right. I looked up at the stage and it was like the world around me stood still. I couldn't move. I couldn't talk.

"Can you hear me through the white noise"

"I SAID CAN YOU HEAR ME MOTHERFUCKERS"

And there he was. Ski mask and all. Headbanging to the opening song. I had to get out of here. I can't even look at him.

"Fuck you Chris, how dare you bring me here" I said before walking away from her.

"Sarah, I'm sorry I really didn't know they were going to be here" as she reached out for me.

"You didn't look at the lineup before purchasing the tickets?" "God Chris you aren't that dumb are you?" Throwing my beer bottle onto the ground.

"Sarah honestly I didn't, I just wanted us to get out and do something together like we use to, we can leave if you want, I'm so sorry"

Before I went to walk away, i looked back at the stage watching him put on for the crowd and Noah and I locked eyes. There was no avoiding this now.
