SHORT GOODBYE

"Goodbye and take care of your injury,"

Zara's voice carried genuine concern as they bid farewell to Aarnav and Kartik, their departure for the training camp imminent.

"You all take care too,"

Aarnav's eyes lingered on Zara, his gaze soft and lingering, as if trying to capture every detail of her before they parted ways.

As thee trio came out from airport after bidding goodbye to their athelete friends, Shobhit suggested they visit their old hangout spot before Zara's departure the following day.

"Yeah, babe, why leave so soon? Take some time off, or work from home. Don't get too lost in your work life; remember to focus on your personal life too. It's time for you to find a boyfriend and enjoy life,"

Amayra chimed in, her tone filled with playful encouragement as they headed towards their favorite tea spot.

Shobhit, unable to resist curiosity, asked about Reyan, despite Amayra's attempts to steer the conversation away from her recent breakup.

Zara's response was matter-of-fact, revealing her lack of happiness and compatibility with Reyan.

Amayra and Shobhit breathed a collective sigh of relief, grateful that Zara had ended things before they escalated.

"Why don't you consider Aarnav? He is so good and caring towards you, don't you think so, Amayra?"

Shobhit's inquiry was filled with genuine concern for Zara's happiness.

Amayra eagerly jumped in, echoing Shobhit's sentiments.

"Yeah, he's right! You can consider him. He's practically your dream boy, isn't he? A footballer, with a body that could make any girl swoon. You can feel that sense of protectiveness radiating from him. Thousands of girls would kill to be in your shoes, Zara. Why not give it a shot?"

Zara let out a sigh, a mixture of contemplation and frustration evident in her voice.

"Yeah, that's the problem. He's too good for me."

Shobhit couldn't hide his disbelief. "You're kidding, right? Sure, he might be a great player, but girl, you're the youngest girl to become a general manager of one of the top 100 listed companies. Thousands of people spend their entire lives chasing the position you're in, and you're saying you're not good enough? What the hell do you want to be?"

Zara's resolve wavered, her mind torn between self-doubt and the undeniable truth of Shobhit's words. "Okay, I'll think about it. Let's just go with the flow and leave my topic. What's going on with you two, huh? When are you two going to make your relationship official, huh? Or are you planning to date secretly only?"

Zara deftly shifted the conversation away from herself, her playful tone masking the deeper turmoil within

"Wait, you knew about it?"

Amayra's surprise was palpable, her eyes widening in shock.

Zara couldn't help but laugh. "Who doesn't know? You two are always glued to each other, man!"

Her playful jab eased the tension, bringing a smile to everyone's face.

Shobhit chimed in, his tone more serious now. "We just started dating seriously, and next time we all gather, we'll announce it officially and treat you all too! Happy now?"

His words carried a sense of excitement, eager to share their newfound happiness with their friends.

After hours of chitchat, laughter, and heartfelt conversations, they bid goodbye to each other, heading back to their respective homes.

The next day, Zara's family, along with Shobhit and Amayra, went to see her off at the airport as she prepared to board the plane. Just as she was about to embark on her journey, a text message popped up on her phone.

"Have a safe flight, Tigey! Tell me when you reach there!" It was from Arnav.

Zara couldn't help but smile at the thoughtful message before boarding the plane, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort knowing he cared.

During her flight, Zara's thoughts were consumed by Amayra and Shobhit's well-meaning advice.

They had planted the seed of uncertainty in her mind: should she take her relationship with Aarnav to the next level? It was a tempting notion, but one fraught with apprehension. After all, Aarnav wasn't just anyone; he had been her closest companion since childhood.

Their bond was strong, woven through years of shared experiences and mutual understanding. But the prospect of romance introduced an element of risk. What if their attempt at something more jeopardized the beautiful friendship they already shared?

And what if Aarnav's affectionate gestures were merely a product of their history, rather than genuine romantic interest?

Compounding her worries were the countless other women clamoring for Aarnav's attention. As one of the most popular and sought-after individuals in their circle, why would he choose her above all the others?

It was a daunting thought, one that left Zara feeling uncertain and insecure.

As the plane descended towards her destination, Zara's mind remained in turmoil. Had she come to a decision amidst the turbulence of her thoughts, or was she still adrift in a sea of uncertainty?
