"Shit, I'm late again,"

 Zara muttered to herself.

As she hurriedly dashed out of her apartment, her keys jingling in her hand. With determination etched on her face, she quickened her pace, the urgency of reaching her office on time moved her forward.

As Zara navigated through the bustling streets of Delhi, her mind was consumed by the persistent rhythm of her workaholic lifestyle.

Alone in the vast expanse of the city, far from the familiar comforts of home, she focused solely on the task at hand, shutting out any distractions.

Her past love experiences had left her weary and guarded, and she found comfort in being alone. With few friends in her present workplace, she clung to the familiarity of her school friends, the only ones who seemed to understand her true self.

Despite the weariness that weighed on her heart, Zara exuded an aura of boundless energy and joy. A master at concealing her inner turmoil, she wore a mask of confidence and strength, her extroverted nature a shield against the world's scrutiny.

With a fiercely independent spirit, Zara relied solely on herself for everything, refusing to let anyone breach the strong walls around her heart.

It was a defense mechanism she had perfected over the years, a testament to her resilience in the face of life's challenges.

As Zara's final day at the office wound down, excitement for her upcoming Diwali celebrations bubbled within her.

With her flight home scheduled for that very night, she sensed a peculiar flutter of anticipation in her gut.

"Finally, vacation time!" she exclaimed with a sigh of relief as she left the office behind.

With some time before her flight, she decided to do some last-minute shopping for her family. With her shopping done, Zara rushed to the airport, her heart racing with anticipation for the Diwali festivities awaiting her at home.

"Welcome to Lucknow airport!" the announcement echoed through the terminal.

"Woah! I'm here," Zara exclaimed as she stepped off the plane.

It had been eight long months since she last set foot in her hometown. With a sense of excitement coursing through her, she hailed a cab and made her way home.

As she arrived, her unexpected visit caught everyone by surprise. No one had been informed of her plans, adding an element of spontaneity to her homecoming.
