Freen fetch me exactly 6 pm. She's still wearing her normal attire in the office.
While I wear a simple dress that will make me look sophisticated in her mom's eyes.
I wonder what dinner her mom prepared for freen?
Later on we arrived in a fine restaurant. Freen open the car door for me. She offered her hands on me.
I gladly accept it. The show must go on. She immediately put her arms on my waist.
We go inside the restaurant and far from here I can see her mom.
Her face looks like an angry tiger. But still she needs to smile because she's with someone.
"Good evening aunt" I said giving respect to her.
I see everyone at the table gossiping.
"Who's that lady?" Someone said
Her mom stood up and pointed her finger to freen.
"You really don't know how to respect me! You even bring her here in the dinner?!" She said
"I told you mom stop messing with my life. She's my girlfriend stop pairing me with others!" Freen said
I know she's controling her self so I hold her hands to calm her. Everyone are looking at us.
"What's the meaning of this Carmela? I thought we have agreed that our children will be engaged" one of the woman in the table said
Engagement? Freen doesn't deserve to be locked up in a Loveless marriage and I have an idea!
"I'm sorry ma'am buy me and freen is getting married. So this engagement dinner is over" I said
Making everyone suprise. I raise my finger showing them my ring luckily I have wear one.
I smirked at them and look at her mom.
"We're getting married aunt with or without your blessing. Oh by the way you're all invited" I said then pulled Freen's arm which is still speechless.
I hold her hand as we go out of the restaurant. We leave them all shocked.
I think I nailed it.
When we near the car freen open the door for me maybe she has absorbed what I said.
At the car we're both quiet. No one dares to talk. I never tell her I would do that but I think it's the best solution so her mom will stop messing with her.
"Freen"
"Becky.."
We said both. Then I laughed. She then laughed too.
"Okay you go first Becky" she said I nodded
"Ahmm.. I'm sorry if I said that infront of them. It just that I can't stand you mom anymore that's the only way I can see that will make her pissed" I said
"It's fine Becky. I was very surprised that you said it infront of them too but I guess mom will stop messing around. But I wonder where did you get that ring?" She asked
"It's from my mom. She gave it to me and she said that when it fits to me I can wear it and see it really fits on me!" I said excitedly
"Oh okay. But you know the consequences of what you say Becky? We need to play along until mom stop and give up. I she won't give up easily. So expect the unexpected" she said
By the way she said it. It looks like she's planning something?
She drive us in a milktea shop. She buy some for the both of us.
She gave it me and I was surprised she got my favorite flavor.
I was busy sipping on my milktea when she said those words out of nowhere.
"We should get married soon" she said
In shock I had choked by the milktea pearl. She immediately tap my back.
"Be careful Becky" she said
"What.. did you.. said?" I asked
"Be ready cause you're soon to be Ms. Chankimha's bride baby" she said
Geez I thought we will just fake it? Was she serious about marrying me? Maybe she's going insane!
What on earth did you put yourself on Becky!
