Backstory: Rose was born a few years after her brother, Billy. Growing up, their lives were relatively normal. Then, one day, everything went to hell when their father started sleeping around with Maureen Prescott. When their mother discovered his infidelity, she left them without looking back. Billy went nuts and came up with plans to kill Maureen as punishment. His best friend, Stu, assisted in these plans. To some extent Rose and her friend, Dani, also helped. Sometime later, after Billy's attempt at ending Sidney's life, the gang went on the run. Dani and Billy eventually fell in love and married after high school. They took Rose with them when they moved into the Elm Street house looking for a fresh start. None of them realizing that a pair of slashers took an interest in Rose...
