Chapter 39: Weakened

Location: Greater Esthirant, Parpaldia empire, 3rd Civilized area
10th September, 1632, 7:00 AM

It the new morning for a day to come, and it not a very good one for Parpaldia empire as they have to endure another day of crisis. It will be like this until the war end, in the palace though everyone still paranoid about the incident 6 days ago especially Remille. She couldn't have an easy sleep after such events, the bodies that was executed is burned without a trace after but still she lost her insurance as all other prisoners is nowhere to be found.

She woke up, tired. Look out the window of a now silenced capital, most people evacuate out during the fire. Red canary fly passed and brace the new morning.

"Everything is going wrong.. it shouldn't be like this.." She murmurs.

Suddenly someone knock on a door, which startled her.

"Miss Remille are you awake?"

She immediately replied the voices.

"Yes, what do you want?"

"His majesty required your presences as of right now"

"I understand, i will be there"

She quickly move away from the bed and get dressed, then walk right to the meeting room accompanied by several guards. Once settled emperor Ludius begin speaking.

"We all know which way this war is going toward"

Everyone in the room nodded in understanding.

"The empire is being pushed on almost every fronts and we can't even attack them back. Arde, any explanation?"

"Yes your majesty, it seem like our equipment perform poorly when faced against the enemies. Though we haven't known the origin of how they got these powerful weapon but it seem like there's a third hands involving"

"What does Mu have to say about this?" Emperor asked.

"I'm not so sure your majesty, it up to the first department to answer such question"

Remille raised her hand and answer.

"They have no intention of involving unlike the Holy Milishial that has been itching to join the war for sometimes now.. and even confirmed it themselves they have no knowledge of the United States at all. Mu ambassador said to me that 'it better to give up a war that couldn't be won' that why i want to discuss about it, which option should we choosed?"

This got some people into the room thinking, if they surrender then the effort would be in vains or if they insist on keeping up then there will be no empire for them to live in, minority of peoples choose surrendering while other still debate on.

"I also have another report"

Kaios stood up picking the attention of every attendance.

"I got a report that there's a rebellion going in the northern part and they start taking over some city violently, i'm not sure if we can manage everything that been going on right now"

Disaster is an understatement for their situation. no matter what plan or strategy they came up with, it would little chance of working looking from the troop's morale.

"..Is that all?" Ludius asked.

"I believe so your majesty"

Kaios sit down and Arde speak his mind.

"In order to counter this crisis we'll need not to engage them directly"

"And what is it?"

"We will turn their public opinion against them and have them devote attention to their own politics which will in turn withdraw them from the war"
