"I want to sleep," Chaeryeong complained from beside Yeji as their instructor continued his lecture at the front of the classroom.

Yeji, equally tired, couldn't help but agree. "Yeah, it was a long night," she replied with a yawn.

Curiosity got the better of Chaeryeong, and she leaned in closer to Yeji, her voice hushed. "Where were you last night?" she inquired.

Yeji, still feeling the remnants of the previous night's excitement, chuckled softly. "Didn't I tell you?" she teased.

Chaeryeong frowned, reminding Yeji that she had left her friend in the dark about her whereabouts. "You said you were leaving; you didn't say where," Chaeryeong complained.

Yeji decided to share a little about her unexpected adventure. "Didn't know Winter was a track star," she confessed.

Chaeryeong's eyes widened in surprise. "You went there with her?" she half-yelled, unable to hide her astonishment.

Their instructor, noticing the commotion, called them out. "Miss Lee, Miss Hwang, any problems?" he inquired, bringing their conversation to an abrupt halt.

Yeji swiftly regained her composure, offering a casual smile to their instructor as she replied, "Nothing, sir."

She exchanged a knowing glance with Chaeryeong, who appeared to be holding back a torrent of questions bubbling just beneath the surface.

After their class, they found themselves perched on a bench near the bustling volleyball court, immersing in the rhythmic cadence of Heejin's spirited practice.

The court pulsed with vibrant energy as players moved gracefully, and the atmosphere resonated with the sounds of whistles, bouncing balls, and the occasional cheers from onlookers.

However, just as they were settling in to enjoy the practice, an unexpected sound disrupted their tranquility. A rather conspicuous, flatulent noise emanated from Yeji's direction, instantly turning heads and raising eyebrows.

Wide-eyed and anxious, Yeji vehemently protested, "I did not, it wasn't me."

Winter, her skepticism thinly veiled, responded, "It was clearly from you."

Intrigued and a bit perplexed, Yeji rose from her seat and discovered the source of the embarrassing sound. It wasn't her; instead, it was a comical device that emitted fart-like noises when squeezed.

Laughter erupted among their friends, and all eyes turned towards Yuna, who had evidently played the prank. She was the picture of innocence as she faced the scrutiny of her companions.

"What?" Yuna feigned innocence, her eyes wide. "It's not me."

Yet, as the collective gaze remained trained on Yuna, she couldn't stifle her amusement any longer and burst into laughter. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry. Wasn't it fun?"

Yeji playfully scolded her, "Way to embarrass me."

Lia chimed in, "I thought you'd changed."

Still smiling, Yuna offered her perspective on the peculiar events of the year. "You know, I'm still shocked by how the past seems to be catching up with us this year."

Intrigued, Lia probed, "What do you mean, Yuna?"

Yuna elaborated, her voice contemplative, "I mean, first, Yeji, your childhood best friend, came back from the dead."

Yeji couldn't help but add a playful remark, "You didn't just make me sound like a zombie."

Yuna continued, her tone reflecting her fascination. "And then there's Lia's situation with her ex. Well, not really an ex, since you didn't break up, did you?" Lia's thoughts turned inward as she contemplated the intricate dynamics of her relationship with Seungmin.
