Oh Dear Diary,
Safire is doing much better now, but I'm afraid she doesn't like it here. She paces back and forth along the grating, and is getting sores on her shoulders and nose. Sometimes she scratches at the slats of the crate—this drives Da up the wall, and he goes over and kicks it to make her stop, though I beg him not to.
Sometimes I imagine I can feel her distress.
I need to get a real fire lizard book, so I can find out what I'm doing wrong. The wyvern book said they can live more than thirty years. I don't want Safire to be unhappy for that long.
