116: Ocean

Always pushed me to the edge,
make me work for your affection.
This close to jump from a ledge,
but I am not your center of attention.

Captain of the seven seas,
you are good at controlling my destination.
In the end you always leave,
through your own terms and conditions.

Deep in the shallows of your vanity,
this is what you provoked.
Messing deep with my sanity,
my love is far beyond.

Beach stranded with nothing else to do,
feels tempting to just jet through the dunes and run.
Next to a palm tree wishing it was you,
but you are already way gone.

The ocean calls out my name,
it is telling me to chill.
You are not insane,
just keep your head stand still.
