45: Lazy Sunday

Let it drift, let it go. Let today pass us by, connect with our greater self, as we let ourselves go.

Breeze ever so mellow,
almost bleak as it filters through my body,
shivers running from my arm to my elbow,
if only hope came within the melancholy.

Productivity does not coexist,
the one day of the week
where it is OK to quit
and think of what we seek.

It is about doing things slow paced,
a mindful awareness
to the things that grace,
grace our skills and gives us sureness.

Calling it laziness or procastination
would be more than an insult,
a distasteful twist of inner frustration,
words fallacious and hard to adjust.

Even the most disciplined brains need to rest,
the creative minds of an artist require a break
from the pressures that build our utmost best.
Burnouts occur, more than we are willing to shake.

Let it drift, let it go. Let today pass us by, connect with our greater self, as we let ourselves go.
