"This is cool!" Ramsha gleamed at him before they both got into the book.  A few minutes later, he hesitantly brought his arm over her shoulder and kept it on the air for a minute, contemplating. And then with a deep breath and muttering a Bismillah, he rested his hand on her shoulder, leaning a little in her direction.

Ramsha felt his warmth and froze. And then she slowly leaned towards him and rested her head on his shoulder. Yousef clenched his heart and acted out as if he was about to faint at the gesture, making her slap his chest and giggle.

Wrapping his arm around her he pulled her closer to him, covering themselves with the blankets. They lay in each other's arms, reading the book.

"

Kitni baar kahna padega mujhe tumhe? Baarish mai mat bhego. Fauran andar aao!" Yusuf yelled at his wife who stood under the dark clouds basking in their angry drops of rain. She looked up at the sky and closed her eyes, feeling the way of drops running on her skin.

[How many times should I tell you?  Do not get wet in the rain. Get inside now! ]

She prayed that it would wash away all her miseries and her past and would help her start a new beginning with her husband. The serene smell of mud surrounded her and she felt her heart burst with peace.

"Ramshaaa!" He groaned before running towards her in the garden. He kept his hand on his head to prevent himself from getting wet but she pulled his hand away giggling at his frown.

"Tabiyat kharab hojaye gi yaar" He tried for the last time but she didn't listen to him for the first time. She twirled in the rain, cherishing the feel of the fresh water on her body.

[you will get sick]

Yusuf forgot everything at that moment. He couldn't take his eyes off the woman who was so herself at this moment.

She looked free, like a bird.

She looked innocent and childish, like a kid.

As if all the burdens of the world she carries have now been taken off her shoulders.

She was lively.

At this moment, Yusuf lost his heart for the second time to his wife.

He watched her with awe as she gracefully turned around laughing in the rain, splashing water drops at him.

He smiled at the new realization in him and prayed for their days of happiness.

"Come here!" She said slowly with a shy smile. He approached her and she took his hands in hers and held them up. Then slowly she twirled around clutching his finger with a smile. His loving gaze was pinned on her as if he didn't have eyes for anyone else.

He pulled her close to him, his hand now wrapped around her waist and the other on her cheek. Her breath caught in her throat when she saw his eyes.

A kiss in the rain was what she always wanted, but the first kiss in the rain would be the cherry on top.

He stared into her eyes as she leaned forward and closed her eyes. Taking that as a cue he closed the distance between their lips.

Their lips moved graciously against each other savoring the feelings raging through them. He cupped her cheek and tilted her head deepening the kiss.

They kissed passionately, holding onto each other. After a few minutes, they pulled apart breathing heavily. Her eyes were closed as she relished the tingling feeling on her lips. Yusuf caressed her cheek, slowly getting out of his daze.
