This is not an update. I never thought I  would be writing this but I felt so helpless today, that I needed to let it all out.

We all are aware of the war going on between Palestine and Israel and it's so heartbreaking to see the deaths of our Palestine brothers and sisters.

The condition in Palestine has worsened to the point that they're is no one to even count the deaths. Children are dying, people are missing, (God knows if they're alive or not) families are shattered and lands are filled with blood.

The videos circulating in the media and the updates of the war are horrible and every time I watch it, this sinking and horrible feeling creeps in me. We people are helpless. I couldn't just control my tears when I saw a man holding his dead baby in his arms and crying for his blood.

I couldn't control my tears when they all stood motionless, standing near a pile of bodies- the trauma was so bad they couldn't shed a tear.

The mass of bricks and remains of the building and the bloodied people underneath is a nightmare.

Just one question. What did they do to deserve this?

Just because they're Muslims?

For a masjid?

I don't know anymore!

I really don't.

The fact that the people of Palestine have been stuck in this way for years and we have never known their sufferings of them for all these years is what makes me sad. It is only now that we have been enlightened of the gravity of the situation.

From merciless firings during prayers in the masjid to putting people through every kind of torture, They haven't been spared. Our brothers and sisters of Palestine have been enduring it all.

What are we doing?

I'm not talking to only Muslims here. Because before anything, the people of Palestine are humans. Just like you. Me. And all of us. They are just like us. Normal humans. Who have every right to live.

To the people of all religions, every single one of you! Did you feel the pain when you saw their dead bodies?

Did you feel the urge to protect them when the innocent girls have been deprived of their dignity?

Did you secretly wish to wipe the tears of the babies and calm the hearts of terrified children?

Did you suddenly feel the urge to help them? Did you wish you could help them?

At this point, I don't know what I'm saying and I'm also aware of the fact that many might disagree with me.

This is so overwhelming and terrifying at the same time!

And I wonder what other nations are doing in all this fiasco. I expected at least the Muslim nations to come forward but they continue to disappoint.

It's all within us people. We were so busy fighting off with each other, that now we can't stop them. We aren't United!

All we can do is pray. Pray for them because that's the only thing that can withstand against them.

There has been an appeal made, that tomorrow is a global day of fasting. That is, 19 October 2023, Thursday. Muslims from across the world are going to fast in solidarity with Palestine and pray for them in unison.

If you can, do this. This is the least we could do.

To all my brothers and sisters, Muslims or not, it's time we unite. Because everyone deserves to live. Pray for them. Pray for their lives. Pray for their peace. And let your soul be at peace.

Enough of hatred and fights!
