"It's been three years, Corlys. This war must end now."

"There's nothing we can do, Auntie, until we can get them out of the caves."

I exhaled with difficulty. We were in the war tent in morning after evening raid. Forget the dried blood on my face and hair. I hadn't seen my children for three years and was determined to end this war.

Laenor was now a fifteen-year-old knight and dragonrider. He had come to war with his father. Seeing him grow this much made me feel extremely old. Laenor:

"We have to get them out of the cave. We have to bait them."

"Tell me, my clever nephew, who would agree to be bait."

"Daemon. At least he's not complaining like you, Uncle Vaemond."

"Laenor..."

"Enough, Vaemond. I won't spill family blood at the war table."

"Laenor is right, Corlys. We need some bait."

"Look at boy and send him back."

As they exit Daemon:

"He's making fun of me. Three years later she decided to support."

I ignored his mocking smile. Firmly:

"Everyone must agree that we must end this war now. I have lost one Northern ship and I'll not lose other two. This is done tonight."

"How will you do it, cousin?"

"You'll be main factor here, cousin. Imagine a Targaryen surrendering to them. Can you do that?"

I smiled as the glint of sarcasm passed through his eyes. I told the whole plan to men there. Corlys:

"A small attack tonight. Visenya and Laenor will lead. Tomorrow morning Daemon will finish the job. Now rest."

I nodded and left the tent. I wore it to my black tent. Pageboy brought hot water. I cleaned my face and hair. Daemon entered my tent as I took off my armor. He had done this secretly. Daemon:
