S O L E I L

Now, I know I am poor but goddamn.

I've been trying to find a prom dress for the past 5 weeks and I can't seem to find one. They're all so gorgeous but over a hundred bucks. I find the dress of my dreams and find out its worth more than my house.

Which is why, I can't feel anything about the dress, not until I look at the price. I had saved about 500 bucks from work. I am not that irresponsible. My pay is about 3500 bucks but I've had other expenses. Like the school projects.

And thats only the dress, I need shoes and accessories.

Bella, Alvin and I have been swimming around New York City every Friday and the weekends for the past few weeks, trying to find a good outfit.

Its our last dance, we've got to find the perfect dress as Bella said.

Alvin has had it easy. She's more masculine, so she has multiple choices of suits.

Its crazy how men wear looks cheap compared to women. I've made a lot of research before coming because if I don't find a dress today, im doomed. Prom is in less than a week.

Real dress shops are way to expensive but if I seduce the shopper, i could get an amazing discount.

"Alright, this better it. I am exhausted." Bella mumbles, walking inside.

I smile at the workers and walk around, looking at the dresses. Now this is a great shop.

I look at a silk orange dress. I just saw this exact dress in another shop and it was 740 dollars. Its only 300 dollars here.

I shake my head, heading to the back of the shop and looking through a few dresses.

I manage to find a few good ones and take them to the dressing rooms.

One by one, I try each one of them, staring at myself for hours.

This is the one, I think as I look in the mirror, staring at my figure. I change back to my regular clothes, pay for it and head inside Bella's car.

"Finally." Bella sighs.

"Yeah." I huff.

We drive to Bella's house and all go up to her room, eating snacks while talking.

"So, how's school?" I ask Belle.

She shrugs. "Oh, you know, same boring stuff. Veronica apparently maked out with Elias."

I raise my eyebrows in surprise, my heart falling. "Oh."

"I don't think its true." She adds. "Really. Elias isn't the stupid and no one really saw them kissing."

I nod. "How's the three guys doing?"

"Well, Julian and Daniel are the same old. Passing their classes- barely, getting in trouble and acting like kids. But they're good."

"And Elias?"

She sighs. "He's back to his old self."
