Start Of  Our Duty

“Hello? Pwede bang tumayo na ako? Kasi tapos na ako e.” nagulat ako nang biglang nagsalita si Almira kaya agad akong napatingin sa kanya.

Tumingin din sa kanya si Jonathan kaya agad naman siyang napaupo. She really understood our stares. What an amazing creature.

Tumayo naman si Jonathan at hinatid si Mira sa labas. Nagpatuloy nalang ako sa pagkain. I know, we will talk about that certain duty, again!

Whatever is that, I don't care. Wala namang silang sinabi sinong babantayan at sinong poprotektahan and hello? Did I born to be a protector?!  Hell,no, I will never do that.

Bumalik na si Jonathan at tiningnan ako ng masama.

“What?”

“I'm older than you, don't look at me like that.” sabi niya at umupo ulit.

Sumandal ako sa upuan. Nawalan ako ng gana. This vegetable dinner. . . buti nalang hindi ako mapili ng kakainin.

“Tss. You must be moving.” sabi niya habang kumakain.

Naiinis ako. Nainis ako sa sinabi niya.

Matulis ko siyang tiningnan nang marinig ko ang sinabi niya sa inner shadow niya. He just said the person I have to protect was her. They keep insisting but I keep on saying she's not a kind of person to be protected.

“About what? Move from what? From protecting that girl?  Is it really my duty, huh?!” napatayo ako at padabog na nilapag ang kutsara sa lamesa.

I lost my appetite.

Nagpatuloy lang siya sa pagkain.

“Sit back.” mautoridad niyang saad kaya napaupo ulit ako but I didn't go back eating.

This man, I hate this man! I don't know na siya pala ang bodyguard na naka-assign sa amin. At para saan ang bodyguards? This school is really annoying. But amazing at the same reason.

We're not that close even though my Mom knows him a lot. I'm not a kind person so maybe that's why. I can't deal with someone like him.

“You don't still understand everything.” he calmly said, kinuha niya ang tubig at uminom.

I rolled my eyes and did not look at him. Mas lalo lang akong maiinis baka magsiliparan ang mga plato rito.

“How can I understand?! You guys didn't explain yet. Palagi kayong protect-protect. How can I protect someone if I don't  know how?! And I don't have a valid reason to do that! Can't you see? She's strong and I can feel she—” he cut me off.

“Argh! Shut up!” sigaw nito at napatayo din sa inis. My eyes widened from shock but a minute later, I smirked.

We're fair.

Tumalikod siya at pumunta sa bintana. He's like checking on someone kaya tumayo din ako and take a glance.

As I can see to his reaction from here, he's like worried of something. So I have decided to took a glance.

Suppose to be a glance but turns out into a stare. I was stunned when I saw Almira cried silently. What the hell? Is she that soft hearted?!

Mas lalo akong hindi makagalaw nang may nakita akong white shadow sa Green Rose's Garden. I don't know exactly it's position but I know it's a good spirit but there's a portion of that girl who's spirit was bad, black and maybe it's because she died in vain? Or she died carrying a huge grudge? Or negative reason?  I don't know.
