CHAPTER 8 : We meet again

We meet again

Lhiah and Mhera, I miss us. I may look happy now but it's lonely to be alone. Until now, I am struggling living in this scary and uncomfortable place without the two of you.

I sighed and I drink my wine.

I'm the one to be blamed to their children's deaths. And now, I'm giving back the favor. I must be the one to save them, whatever it takes, I'll make them live longer and never let that tragic fate repeat itself.

I'm just curious, do the two of them know their past relationship? I mean, their mothers were close, more like sisters before—what I mean was US. The three of us, we are the TRIO in this campus before. Syempre hindi ganito kagulo ang campus namin noon, this were like a normal campus but almost all the students have extraordinary gifts.

But when that disaster came, many students lost their lives, and most importantly, two important creatures saved us temporarily by sacrificing once life.

Napatigil ako sa pag-inom at napahigpit ang paghawak ko sa wine glass.

Kung hindi ko lang sana sila pinaaral sa school na 'to, ide sana demons won't notice their existence. Kung sana hindi ko nalang pinilit na may kakaiba silang galing, sana nandito pa sila Mhera at Lhiah sa tabi ko ngayon. Kung hindi ko lang pinansin ang kakaiba nilang pagkatao, ide sana. . . sana naging masaya ako.

Nanginginig ako sa galit sa sarili ko.

I didn't even save them. I just scream and save others while letting them fight those demons by themselves. I'm such a selfish heir. I'm a selfish friend. I can't be. . . pretty good for them.

“What are you doing here at the rooftop in the middle of the night?” nagulat ako nang may biglang nagsalita sa likod ko, agad naman akong napalingon sa lalaking paparating.

Him again.

I stand up, inaantok na pala ako.

“Hey, I'm asking you.” madiin niyang sabi habang hinahawakan ng mahigpit ang kamay ko at pinabalik ako sa pwesto ko kanina.

“I'm sleepy,” I answered, I hate talking to this guy, noon pa man!

He keeps bothering me, asking me some obvious question and the worst aasarin pa ako to the point na gagamitin na namin mga alam namin sa martial arts.

“Oh, really? Or your just feel sleepy because you don't want to talk to me?”

Napatigil ako sa paglakad sa sinabi niya, I have been avoiding him, why? Because I might fall to his trap.

He's charming and I'm afraid I might fall. I have been falling to many guys out there because they give some vibes that I can't understand. And when I'm about to fall no one dared to catch me.

“Adielyn, my cousin asked me to take good care of this two creatures who was told to end the dark secret of this University. And she asked me to ask you a favor,” he said, lumakad siya papunta sa akin, face to face, he looked at me into my eyes. If he speaks trapping phrase, I'm gonna lose now because of that sincerity rapped in his eyes.

“W-What is it?”

Napanic ako dahil sa tingin niya. Yung tingin na ako lang ang tanging naka-focus sa mga mata niya.

Naglakad siya patungo sa akin. Every step forward, I step back, until I got cornered. So I stop walking while he is still going close to me.

Lalo niyang nilapit ang mukha niya sa mukha ko, biglang lumakas ang tibok ng puso ko sa kaba. This pervert man! I am ready to punch this guy in case of emergency.
