                                Felix's POV
"You're taking her to the mall...aren't you?"

"Yep."

I got up and got ready.

"Her car seat is already in your car."

"Wow. He brought that?"

"Yeah."

I walked out of my room and went to find Novalia.

"Uncle Lixie?! Where'd you go?! I'm lost!"

I started running.

"Coming!"

I found her and she ran up to me. She started hugging me.

"It's okay. It's easy to get lost in this place."

She started holding my hand while we walked. We walked up to the front door and heard someone running up to me.

"Hi! I wanna come!"

"Yay! Aunt Pixie wants to come too!"

"What?! You're gonna ditch me?!"

"Hey...she's had a rough day so far. I wanna fix it."

Novalia poked my side.

"Hm?"

"Is he mad?"

"Don't think so."

"What did I miss?"

"You missed the shit show that Chan just caused."

I brought me and the girls to the mall.

"W-what are we doing here?"

"There's a place in there that has slushies."

"Ooo! Is it a really big store?!"

"Yeah. There's so many flavors too."

"You are such a sucker."

Novalia was adorable in the mall.

"Guess...she's never been to one of these."

"Guess so."

She ran up to me and started jumping up and down.

"Can I get my ears pierced?! Mommy never let me!"

"Okay."

We brought her somewhere to get her ears pierced.

"Okay...that kinda hurt."

"Wow. You're not crying?"

"No. It wasn't that bad."

We brought her to a few other stores.

"You should just buy the mall at this point."

"Don't joke. I'll actually do it. I have the money."

"Oh that's true."

We got her another slushy since she finished hers. I checked on her at a red light and saw she was sleeping.

"Andddd...she's sleeping.."

"Guess, it's nap time."

"Yeah. It looks like it."

We got open and I parked.

"I'll bring everything in. Get her in bed."

I opened the back door and took Novalia out of her car seat. I walked inside and up to her room. I put her on her bed then took off her shoes.

"Am I home?"

"Yes sweetie. You're home. You fell asleep in the car. I brought you up to your room."

"Yay.."

"Go back to sleep. It's okay."

"Can you stay with me? Just until, I fall asleep."

"Yeah. Sure. I can do that."

I laid down next to her.

"Did you have fun today?"

"Mhm!"

"Good. I'm glad, I made your day much better."

She yawned.

"Do you know any sleepy songs?"

"Uhhh...I might. Why?"

"Can I hear some?"

"Uhhh...I can't sing."

"Then just hum."

"I-I can try to sing for you. No guarantees, it'll be good."

"Okay!"

"How've you been? I guess you're fine. It's been pretty long since we've last seen. Honestly, throughout my life. Deep inside, I've never felt alive. That way you used to touch my soul was always so sweet and lovely."

I yawned.

"No matter how far apart we were, you'd always pick up the phone. But now I'm truly alone in this world."

My eyes started to get heavy. Novalia started holding my hand. She put it underneath her head. She wanted to use my hand as a pillow. I shut my eyes.
