chapter 11: y/ns bday: karoke night

You woke up with a week before your birthday. You circled it on your calendar and so much more. You were PLANNED for it. Wally took notice and wrote down gift ideas, preparing something big for it. He gathered up his friends, Julie, frank, Eddie, poppy, Sally and of course, the best party planner - Barnaby. He stopped down at howdys for food and some flowers for you, and made trips out of town to get you small things or gifts. He meanwhile got f/n off of work and you off of work with some phone calls and got to work. Wally decided that you were getting a lovely surprise party. Then the day came up, you woke up to not breakfast down stairs, but Wally at your door with a tray of food, along with your favorite drink. You couldn't help but smile.

"Wally.. You didn't have to.. " you gave a warm smile, as you stretched in your bed, he made his way over to you and kissed your cheek. "Of course I had to. Remember I said you deserve everything dear. " and with that being said he pulled up the tray for you and sat it down on your lap. "Eat up love.. " he said with a small smile. He then looked over at you before getting up. "Julie wanted me to do some things actually so... I suppose I'll have to go okay? Remember I love youu.. " and with that he headed down and outside.

You wondered what he could be doing but didn't have the mind to question as soon f/n came in with the biggest smile on their face. "Hey y/n! I heard they just opened up a Boba shop just outside of the town, just now! Wanna come?" They asked with their bag ready to go. You nodded excitedly. You always loved Boba but there was never a lot of towns around. F/n went outside and got in the car with you, before stating with a smile. "I'm paying today don't you even worry about it. " they finished. you laughed softly in response to them and nodded. This didn't come as a surprise to you as it's what you two normally did on each other's birthdays. You both blasted music, sing-screaming it down the road with windows down. Did some people think you were crazy? Maybe. But hey, today's your birthday you didn't care.

You ordered your favorite drink and sat down. You listened to the soft music that was currently playing in the shop and talked with f/n after paying. Midway through your guys conversation f/ns phone began to ring with a tune. You looked curiously as they stood up and walked outside. They came back in with a almost shocked expression urging you to get up. "Cmon y/n! Wally just called! Something interesting is going on and we have to see it, now! Hurry, get in the car! " you nodded and got in, looking at f/n. "Did he say what it was? " you asked out of breath as you guys headed down the road. They shook their head and soon enough, quickly you both pulled into your home. But by the time you walked in, you looked for a moment and even f/n was gone. You got a bit worried as you saw no one was out, everything was closed and it was calm. Which was odd.

You tried to call people, no one answered. You sighed and walked into the house, just then the lights turned on and everyone popped out. "SURPRISE! " you jumped back and laughed. "You guys scared the shit out of me! " you laughed and hugged them all, Wally pulled you in. "Happy birthday my dear y/n..i love you so much.. " and with that he pulled you into a kiss happily. You melted into him and smiled, blushing as you realized some were taking photos or awing at the both of you. You laughed nervously as everyone then started talking or grabbing food. In the midst of everyone talking, your boyfriend sat behind you and pulled you in. "Hello darling~ seems like I really got you " you laughed and agreed. "I guess you did. " you had admitted. He sat down and smiled. "So, enjoying yourself? " he asked you softly. You nodded. "Of course I am. I always am with you.... " you replied as you started kissing him. He of course blushed a bit and smiled. Soon enough everyone was finished eating and Julie smiled over to you.

"It's time to blow the candles y/n! " she called out. You got up as Wally also walked with you, holding your hand. They all sung happy birthday which you found yourself getting a little embarrassed. You weren't sure why but it was sometimes awkward whenever people were singing it. Every single year it always did the same thing to you. Eddie ended up snapping a photo of everyone together at the table, and it came out over the film. Next was presents. They sat you down and one by one you talked with them and unwrapped gifts. Sally gave you some music things, and a camera, along with crafting supplies, poppy gave you some baking supplies and some really comfortable shirts, frank gave you some books that you mentioned you liked and Eddie gave a photo album for you to store obviously, photos and memories in, which you found out everyone helped decorate it,then Julie gave you candles and self care supplies, and Wally told you to wait until the bedroom for his, you agreed happily to that. ( (No it isn't smut lmao, and adding that in please don't request it as it makes the creator of welcome home very uncomfortable!!!)) And Barnaby gave you few stand up comedy DVDs, which you appreciated greatly.

Then poppy and Sally hooked up their phones to the TV playing music, soon one by one everyone started singing, taking turns. Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves, then at the end of the night Wally stood in the middle of the living room and with his soft tone he spoke into the microphone. "I'd like to dedicate this song to y/n.." He cooed out and started with the slow song of "put your head on my shoulder"

you looked at him in awe the entire time as you watched, then mid song he pulled you up from his seat and started to slow dance with you, sort of like a ballroom dance, but minus the fancy room and gowns. You held him close as he dipped you and twirled you around. The room seemed to be spinning in circles as you danced, the air was filled with love and adoration for the both of you, and at the end of the song he pulled you in and kissed you deeply. Your best friend stood there with the camera.

"Woooo! That's my friend gooo!!! " f/n cheered and you couldn't help but giggle in the kiss. Then everyone one by one started to get tired, and go home. Wally helped you clean up and affectionately kept making advances to be around you or sneak in a kiss. Finally you took a shower and there laid your loving boyfriend, with a small bag, inside had your favorite snacks and drinks, a shirt , a few poems he wrote and a promise ring. Which you found special as it wasn't really an engagement ring or anything, but still a promise. You gratefully put it on and hugged him. "I love it, all of this... Thank you.." You mumbled into his shoulder as he smiled lovingly at you. "Youre welcome..now my my..it is very much getting late.." With that he opened up the covers and you laid next to him, then he cupped up your face and gave you kisses that equaled up to your age. Then in between giving compliments and admiring you until you fell asleep into his arms. What a wonderful way to end the night.
