chapter 9: teaching wally tech and pies

It was early in the morning when you awoke. It was one of those mornings when Wally was awake and cooking breakfast. You smiled thoughtfully, threw on a robe and headed down stairs. When he saw you he turned around with a gleeful smile as he flipped a pancake. "Hey darling.. How was your rest? " he asked as he flipped it onto a plate and made his way to you, kissing your head. You smiled happily and looked at him. "I love you.. " he gave back a warm smile. "I love you most. " and with that he turned around to continue cooking. You pulled out your phone and browsed on Instagram or other social media's, just as you heard f/n come down stairs. "Sweet! Pancakes thanks Wally. " and without hesitation f/n grabbed a pancake and ate it, with their hands. Wally looked slightly agitated but didn't really say much. Then f/n sat across from you. "Your boyfriends cooking is Amazing y/n! You should have some" they said through a stuffed face. You couldn't help but let out a laugh. "I will when it's actually finished! " you rolled your eyes playfully. Soon enough though he put the pancakes on a plate for everyone and poured drinks.

Wally looked at you calmly. "So lovely.. Do you have work today? " he asked. You shook your head. "Nope! C/n(coworkers name) took the job I had to do. " he nodded in response. "That's good..easy day then? " you nodded to his  statement. "That's right! " f/n then laughed a bit. "Well, lucky you! I have routes with Eddie everyday. It's not so bad though we kinda vibe in there." You all chuckled together.

As everyone got done eating f/n stood up. "Speaking of routes, it's time for me to get going. Have fun! " and with that they left. Then Wally looked at you. "Well now if they're gone maybe we could continue watching that show or.. Something? " he suggested. You humbly accepted. "Of course! " you then thought of what you two could do. You decided to pull out your phone. "How about some games? We could do mobile ones together!" you suggested as he looked a bit confused. "Well.... Y/n I'd love to but.. I don't HAVE  a phone. " he admitted. You looked a bit shocked. "Really?? You don't? It's 2023! " you laughed. He chuckled as well. "I guess.. Never needed one? " he tilted his head and shrugged. You laughed. "That's fair. " in your head you supposed it made sense, he didn't look the type to be huge on technology. However from browsing online you found out most of the neighborhood had one. But none the less you pushed it off and smiled. "Cmon! We can go get you one. " he smiled. "I guess so... "

You headed into the car and drove down to the mall once again, it had multiple technology stores and phone stores. You pulled in and both walked in hand by hand. You then opened the doors to the place and the worker stood there glancing at you both before smiling. "Well hello! What brings you in today? " you looked at Wally and back at the worker. You always got a bit nervous of talking to people but you did anyways. "We're just here looking for a phone. " the person smiled and nodded. "You came to the right place friends! Follow me. " the worker listed out some different models and types. Shortly enough you guys did end up finding the one that would suit Wally and drove back home. Of course Wally was asking a bunch of questions and most had simple answers. Such as why he needed one, what it would do, and so fourth. He did like the factor that it meant he could contact you if for whatever reason you two were seperated and he didn't have to go to home to call you. Never the less you two spent a few hours setting up the phone and information on it, Wally wrote down passwords and everything. You found it a little cute but dorky how half of his passwords had something to do with your name.

Once that was finished he looked a bit confused as you started adding phone numbers. "Woah woah y/n..what are you doing? " he asked peering over your shoulder. You laughed. "I'm adding in your friends and of course me~ " you cooed there at the end. He laughed slightly but nodded. "Okay then.. " you finished with that and then you left for a snack. You headed back and saw him laughing. "Wally-? " you asked he showed you some funny images on his phone. Oh great. He got ahold of Pinterest - this was gonna be fun. Then you had an idea to teach him one thing. Pranks!! You guys ended up sending a bunch of random, out of pocket things to the neighborhood, you both were laughing, although you lost it even further when Wally let out an unhinged laugh that ended with a wheeze. After about an half an hour with that going down you calmed yourself and smiled. "Okay.. Okay.. Now... 2 player games? " you asked as he was finishing his small chuckles. He agreed and you two ended up playing for a few hours. Then you stretched. "That was fun! " you yawned as you checked the time.

You then thought of what else you guys could do. Maybe bake? You had an amazing idea and turned to Wally. "Hey, you like apples right?" He nodded. "I do, very much yes. " he replied with a calm tone. "Why do you ask love? " you smirked and got up. "I know exactly what to bake! " he seemed a bit confused as you told him to stay there. You were gonna ask poppy for some ingredients to make a wonderful apple pie, you really didn't feel like going to the store and plus- you'd pay her later. Once you stopped in and talked with her you ended up back home to Wally. "Here! Apple pie! That's what were gonna make! " you laughed. But Wally seemed a bit confused. "How are we going to.. Do that? An apple into a pie? He asked very much confused. You couldn't help but giggle. " pretty much! Just follow this recipe! " you pulled it up on your phone and started getting what you needed. You laughed as the entire time Wally looked sorely confused. But when it finished you pulled it out and served it. He took a look at it and looked at you. "This simply can't be an apple y/n" you smiled. "At least try it! " so he did. He admitted it was good but shrugged.
You two then did finally end it off with watching shows and going to bed.
