Nari walked into the class and sat beside Eun Kyung who noticed her mood
"What's wrong?" She asked
"Huh?"
"You don't look so good"
Nari sighed. "Eun Kyung, are you having issues with Seo Jun?" She asked
"Uhh.., not really why?" She asked
"Nothing, it's nothing..." She said and faced her bag.
Eun Kyung sighed and looked at the class entrance
"He should be in class already" she whispered when she heard two girls whispering behind her, she turned back to them
"Seo Jun rejected the post he was giving, he said he was done being the school head" said one of the girls
Eun Kyung looked forward in surprise
"Why did he reject it?" She whispered and Nari faced her
"What?" She asked and Eun Kyung stood from her seat
"What Eun Kyung?"
"I'm going to find him, we need to talk.."
"It's not school over yet."
"I know but he's in school, I'll go" she said and made to leave but Nari held her hand
"He's not in school Eun Kyung, he left already"
"What?, How did you know?"
"Because I met him and he....."
"He what Nari?" Asked expectant Eun Kyung
"He.... doesn't want to see you" she blurted
"But I know it's just because he's stressed, he'll see you soon I know that"
Eun Kyung pulled from Nari's grip. "I'll look for him" she said and walked out.
Eun Kyung hadn't gone far when she crossed path with Choon Hee who stopped looking at her, they stared at each other for a while before Eun Kyung took a step forward
"Choon Hee, I want to thank you for what you did for Seo Jun, you're really a...."
"Are you Seo Jun's girlfriend or what?"
"Huh?, I don't understand"
"Sure you don't, you've never been smart enough to understand anything, you're just a leech to Seo Jun that's why.."
Eun Kyung sighed. "I just came to thank you, I don't want to have a fight with you" she said and made to leave but Choon Hee grabbed her school shirt
"Choon Hee let go!" She said struggling to take back her cloth but Choon Hee dragged it until it tore, she then let go.
"You're a looser and a failure, Seo Jun must have regretted the day he started dating you because you haven't done anything to help him, I worked hard and brought out an evidence to prove his innocence, Eun Woo gave him notes and Seung took over his post, what did you do for him Eun Kyung?, You're a leech and I hate you. Because of your stupidity he refused to take the post, you're a horrible influence and I just want you out of his life and out of the school. I hate you!!" She shouted painfully and quacked her shoulder before walking away.
Eun Kyung clutched her chest, she didn't want to cry in front of Choon Hee, she looked at her school uniform which has already been tore revealing her left shoulder. She stood at that spot for a while before going back to class covering her cloth.
"Oh my God!, What happened?" Asked Nari on seeing her
"Nothing, I'm fine"
"You don't look fine, did you meet Seo Jun?" She asked and Eun Kyung nodded
"I didn't but I know where to find him" she said.
The school was over and Eun Kyung took her bag to leave when Seo Yun approached her.
"Eun Kyung!" He called and she looked at him
"Hi Seo Yun" she said
"I'm really happy you're not going back to the previous class" he said and she smiled
"Yeah" she answered quietly covering herself
Nari noticed this and knew she had to do something. "Seo Yun, Eun Kyung is not feeling well, I'll leave with her" she said
"Really?, What happened?" He asked and touched her head when his eyes noticed her torn top
"What happened?" He asked
"Huh?"
"Your shirt, it's torn" he said
"I'm fine" she stated
"No you're not, what happened?, Who did this to you?" He asked getting angry.
"I said I'm fine, please don't worry about me, let's go Nari" she said and left with Nari following from behind.
Nari and Eun Kyung arrived at Rosie spice, Nancy's restaurant.
"You're sure he's here?" Asked Nari.
"He works here, I think he is, let's go in" she said and walked in with Nari.
Nancy saw them walk in.
"Eun Kyung" she called before walking towards them, they were now facing each other
"You're alone?" She asked
"What do you mean?, I'm here to see Seo Jun" she said and Nancy scoffed
"You're not serious, if you came here to mock me just start instead of pretending not knowing Seo Jun resigned yesterday"
"Re.... signed?"
"Yes and I need him back, his absence today has caused lots of problems for me. Please Eun Kyung I need you to convince him to come back"
"I... I'm not his mind" she stammered
"True, but you're his girlfriend and you can, he seems to love you alot so do this for me please"
"I can't Nancy, Seo Jun has a mind of his own and I cannot impose anything on him. I didn't even know he resigned"
Nancy scoffed. "Are you his girlfriend or what?, I knew there was something odd about you but let me tell you something, when your boyfriend stops telling you important informations like this then he's planning on breaking up with you so I think you should get ready because sooner or later you'll be dumped!!" She shouted
"Woah woah woah hold it lady" started Nari. "You don't have the right to say that to her..."
"And who is this?" Asked Nancy
"Nari, her best friend.."
"And you feel you have a say here?"
"I don't feel it, I know it and I also know you have liking a towards Seo Jun that's why you're saying mean things to Eun Kyung. My advice to you is don't waste your time because you're just another Miss Jandi who is so going down!"
"How dare you!" Shouted Nancy and she raised her hand to slap Nari but Eun Kyung stopped her by grabbing her hand
"Know where to use your fist on else I'll use your face to show you" she said and pushed her hand down
"Let's go Nari" she said and Nari glared at Nancy before leaving with her.
Seo Yun got home but his dad wasn't around only Seo Hiah was.
"Hi Mom" he said and walked into the kitchen
"Oh baby, how was school?, I heard what happened and I'm so excited about it"
"Me too" he said.
Seo Hiah's smiling face suddenly faded and he noticed.
"What's wrong Mom?" He asked
"Seo Jun hasn't left his room since he got back, he doesn't want to eat or talk to anyone" she said sadly
"Really?" Asked Seo Yun looking up the stairs. "I'll talk to him Mom, please excuse me" he said and as his mother nodded, he climbed up the stairs.
Seo Yun knocked slightly on Seo Jun's door but got no reply
"Seo Jun!" He called
"What?" Came the reply
"Oh, well....are you okay in there?" He asked
"Yes"came the reply
"Okay. Have you spoken to Eun Kyung?" He asked but got no reply
"Seo Jun...."
The door opened stopping him
"Oh bro" he whispered moving backwards a bit
"Why about Eun Kyung?" Asked Seo Jun
"Nothing really I just feel that she's....well she didn't look good when I last saw her, her uniform was torn and Nari said she was ill"
Seo Jun sighed resting on the door
"You didn't accept the school head post, why?"
"I didn't want to" he answered and walked inside grabbing his jacket from the bed
"Where are you going?" Asked Seo Yun
"None of your business" he answered and walked out
"Come on you can always tell me" said Seo Yun following him from behind.
They got down the stairs and halted when they saw Seo Young and Seo Hiah
"Hey Mom, dad" said Seo Yun and they turned to both of them.
"Seo Jun, I heard something" started Seo Young
"Yeah, the truth has be found, Seo Jun's innocent" explained Seo Yun
"That too but...Seo Jun, you rejected the school post, why?" He asked
"I wanted to" Seo Jun answered
"Why did you want to?" He asked again
"Do I need to have a reason?"
"Seo Jun!!!"
"Honey please take it easy on him" begged Seo Hiah
"Easy?, Why is he making things difficult for himself and us?, The truth about his innocence is out why don't he forget all about everything else. What about the monthly allowance, why did he reject it?, How will you take care of yourself without it"
"I didn't need the money"
"Didn't need it?, Why?"
"I don't think my reason is something that might interest you..."
"Choi Seo Jun!!, you'll do exactly as I have said now go to your room!" He shouted
"Seo Young that's enough already" intervened Seo Hiah
"Go to your room young man!" Thundered Seo Young glaring at Seo Jun
Seo Yun tapped his brother's shoulder and he turned from his parents walking up the stairs.
Both walked into Seo Jun's room and he laid on the bed while Seo Yun stood with his hands folded
"Is dad pushing you that hard?" He asked
"What do you think?" Asked Seo Jun
"Hmm, what will you do?"
"Sleep, you need some too" he said
"Sleep?, You're not going to do anything about what dad said?" Asked Seo Yun
"That's the difference between you and I, you spend so much time talking, I act. Goodnight and turn off the lights when you're leaving"
Seo Yun looked at him as he shut his eyes. Seo Jun was too respectful to a fault, why would someone even want to hurt such a soul. He sighed and walked to the switch turning off the lights and coming back on the bed taking off his shoes and pushing Seo Jun with his body
"What?" Came Seo Jun's low voice
"I'm sleeping with you, I don't want you thinking so much, I'll take care of you okay?" He said
Seo Hiah was done with the kitchen and walked out to where Seo Young sat drinking and watching the TV
"Seo Jun has the right to make certain decisions for himself, you should let him sometimes"
"You're saying it was wise to quit when you've almost succeeded?"
"I'm saying you're pushing him too hard, don't make it get to a point where it will be difficult to get through to him. Goodnight" she said and walked from him towards the stairs.
She reached Seo Jun's room and knocked slightly on the door but got no reply, she turned the knob and the door opened showing Seo Jun and Seo Yun on the bed wrapped up in a blanket
She smiled and closed back the door before leaving.
Seo Young was done with his drink and turned off the TV climbing up the stairs, he reached the corridor to Seo Jun and Seo Yun's room and stopped, he opened it and saw both boys, he shut it afterwards and sighed looking down. He later left the door walking towards his room.
It was now Monday morning, Seo Young got down the stairs and met Seo Yun and Seo Hiah happily eating, he looked around for Seo Jun but he wasn't anywhere around
"Why is it just you two?" He asked
"Good morning dad, Seo Jun left already, he said there was something he needed to take of so he left, I'll join him soon anyway" answered Seo Yun
"Why does he skip breakfast?" Whispered Seo Young
"I gave him some food so don't worry, he'll eat don't worry much" said Seo Hiah before facing her son.
Him Chan parked the car and faced Eun Kyung
"Is everything okay?, You've been acting quiet the whole weekend is there a problem?" He asked and she faked a smile
"I'm fine uncle, don't worry about me. Take care of yourself" she said before getting down from the car and walking into the school building.
The atmosphere was filled with live and many chattering, she wondered what was happening. She got into her class and met Nari who was writing on a book
"Hi Nari" she said and sat down
"Oh hi girl, what's up?" She asked
"Uhh, the celling" she joked
"Oh please, I mean your weekend?"
"It was good" she answered coldly and began opening her school bag
"Seo Jun has accepted the school head post and everyone is so happy about it but I'm wondering why did he do it, if he didn't want it then everyone understands it's because he was hurt, your boyfriend is a mystery"
Eun Kyung sighed and faced her bag when a teacher walked in
"Students get out your textbooks" she ordered.
Eun Kyung brought out hers when her eyes moved to the door where Seo Jun, Choon Hee and Eun Woo walked in, her eyes were fixed at Seo Jun who didn't turn to her but moved to his seat
"Good day class, let's welcome back our wonderful school head Choi Seo Jun!" Started the teacher and the whole class clapped happily for Seo Jun who kept a straight face.
They had lots of lessons before the school was over.
Most of them sat down attempting some projects while others left. Eun Kyung still looked at Seo Jun who hadn't turned back to her. What did she do?, She was the one slapped by Nancy, blamed by Nancy and Choon Hee for him rejecting the post and the one scolded by his father but she still had to be the ignored by him.
She frowned, what exactly was his problem, she was the victim and he was acting victim. She stood from her seat and Nari faced her
"What is it?" She asked
"I'll be back soon" she said and took her textbook walking towards Seo Jun when a teacher walked into the class,
"All the school heads are needed in the principal's office now, including you Seung"
Eun Kyung halted, she was just standing behind him, he stood up and packed his books with Choon Hee and walked out without looking back, her shoulder fell, why was he acting like that.
Eun Kyung walked back to Nari who was too busy writing that she didn't notice what happened, she slumped on the chair and Nari faced her
"What's wrong?" She asked
"Nothing"she replied and brought out her notebook.
"Okay" said Nari continuing what she was doing.
Both girls walked out of the school building together when Nari spoke up
"Will you be free tomorrow?"
"Why?" Asked Eun Kyung
"I want you to come over to my place tomorrow, I'm going shopping and will need a guide"
"Oh, okay" she answered
"Cool, let's go then" she said they left the school premises.
"There's a debate competition coming soon in Busan, you four will have to nominate students you feel are fit to go, not only our school will be present and you all must make our school proud. I trust all your choices, one junior and senior from each one of you"
"We won't disappoint you Sir" said Seung
"I know you won't, The debate topic will be communicated to you so please use the weekend to practice it. Anyone you nominate will be under you throughout your stay am I clear?"
"Yes Sir!" Chorused Eun Woo and Seung
"Yes Sir" agreed Choon Hee
The principal narrowed his eyes to Seo Jun. "Seo Jun?"
"How long are we staying there?" Asked Seo Jun speaking for the first time since they got into the office
"A week, I've found a hotel you can lodge for the mean time".
"Right." Mumbled Seung
"What's that Seung?" Asked the principal
"Oh nothing Sir" he answered hurriedly.
"Okay. I hope we can get some necessary things done like the nomination and note that students with good grades in their previous tests are good to go"
"We will Sir" said Seung and others concorded.
"Emm.. Seung I want you to stay and watch the school while other school heads go but you're free to nominate"
Seung narrowed his eyes towards Seo Jun who's eyes were far from his.
"Yes Sir, I will keep the school well until they return"
"Good. If there's no other questions then you're all permitted to leave" he said and they bowed before walking out of the office.
Seo Jun gently took his hands into his pocket when Choon Hee walked to him.
"Hello Seo Jun!" She beamed.
Seo Jun looked at Seung and Eun Woo who's eyes were on them before looking back at her.
"Hi" he answered
"Mind if I walk with you?" She asked
"Sure" came his soft reply.
Choon Hee smiled, waving at Eun Woo and Seung before walking with him.
Seung frowned clenching his fist before walking out and Eun Woo followed from behind.
Seo Jun's steps were slow and she observed, he didn't look happy but why?, She brushed the thought away, she needed to distract him.
"Where are you heading now?" She started and he turned to her
"Home, why?"
"I'll go with you" she smiled
"I'm taking the transport" he said
"Huh?, What about Seok?" She asked.
"Seok's busy so he can't come pick me" he stated
"Oh, is that so, then you can leave with my driver, he'll be here soon"
"Choon Hee I..."
"I insist Seo Jun please" she begged.
Both of them walked together towards the school gate quietly.
"I'm so happy you decided to take back the post, it's good to have you back" continued Choon Hee but Seo Jun gave a faded smile
Choon Hee faced Seo Jun. "Are you still mad at me?" She asked
"No" he replied and she gave a disarming smile
"That's a relief really".
The driver drove towards them and parked
"Miss Choon Hee" he called
"Shall we?" She asked and Seo Jun nodded.
The ride was a quiet one before Choon Hee broke the silence
"What do you think about the competition in Busan?"
"It's just a competition, we'll be fine" he answered
"I know, we need a total number of 8 students aside us, four juniors and four seniors. It means we're going to nominate"
"I already know who to choose both senior and junior"
Choon Hee faked a smile before facing the road
'Eun Kyung and that junior Ji Yoon', she would make sure Seo Jun doesn't pick Eun Kyung.
They arrived at his house and he got down
"Thanks Choon Hee"
"You're welcome" she said smiling, she waved at Seo Jun before the car drove away.
Seo Jun got into the house seeing Seo Yun seated in the sofa munching on some chips.
"Hey bro!!"
"Are you smart?" Asked Seo Jun leaving him gaping
"Excuse me?"
Seo Jun sighed. "There's a debate competition coming soon in Busan and I'm to nominate, I can't possibly leave my brother"
"I'm coming with you!"
"You're gonna study all night.. studying with me..."
"Studying?, I thought it was just a debate?"
"Who said it doesn't include studying, we don't have time and must catch up" he explained
"Oh...but why will you take me?"
"A senior and a junior. I've picked Ji Yoon already..."
"And you want me to be the senior?, That's cool... wait what about your girlfriend?"
"Eun Kyung?"
"Well yes who else then, you should pick her and leave me"
"Choon Hee is picking her already" he answered
"What? Why would Choon Hee ever pick Eun Kyung, they never get along"
"But she will because she's scared I will"
"How do you even know that?"
"I don't, just a guess"
"And you think it's gonna happen the way you feel it will?"
"Yeah?", He answered before blushing
"You're stupid" whispered Seo Yun
"Maybe. Let's go up, the debate topic must have been out already"
"Oh come on Seo Jun, it doesn't have to be now, I'm waiting for a movie"
"Seo Yun up now!" He ordered.
"Urghhhh!!" Roared Seo Yun standing from the sofa
"With me up the stairs now!!!".
It was six in the evening when Choon Hee, Seung, Eun Woo and Seo Jun had a zoom meeting.
"So? Who are we nominating?" Asked Eun Woo
"It's a debate, smart people will be needed for it, we don't need any dull person" snapped Seung
"Seo Jun go!" Said Eun Woo
"No, I wanna go first!" Interrupted Choon Hee.
"I'll go then, Choon Hee, Eun Woo then Seo Jun"
"However you like it" grinned Seo Jun
"Wait is this a fight or what?, Why do I feel that Seung and Seo Jun are fighting?"
"We're not" answered Seo Jun
"I nominate Gyeong Hui, she's smart and her previous result is excellent, she's been a debate member for a long time and I know she's capable. Ye Jun a junior is someone I have watched and tutored, I know he will do well." Seung said.
"I nominate Ye Rim and a junior Na Ra, they're both capable to me and their previous results are good". Said Eun Woo.
"I nominate Eun Kyung and a junior Mi Soo".
"What?, Eun Kyung?, Why would you even nominate her?" Asked angry Seung.
"Her previous result is good..." Said Choon Hee.
"That's because it was a malpractice..."
"You don't have proof to that Seung so stop!" she thundered making Seo Jun grin. Eun Woo noticed this
"Someone's happy to be defended" Seo Jun gave her a thumbs up before she looked at Seung.
"Seung, Eun Kyung's results was good that alone qualifies her"
"Whatever" mumbled Seung.
"I nominate Seo Yun and Ji Yoon" came Seo Jun's voice.
"That Junior's grade is not good" disagreed Seung
"You're quick to find problems with the people familiar with me. Have you been checking him out?" Asked Seo Jun
"He can't come!!"
"Oh he can and will. Need I remind you, you're occupying no position here. I, Choon Hee and Eun Woo are the only school heads so it's better you don't command any of us, the principal only made you stay with us because he didn't want to throw you out like that. Sooner or later you'll leave us do you understand?" He yelled. Everyone became quiet as he relaxed on his s seat.
"That was too harsh Seo Jun" whispered Eun Woo breaking the silence.
"I know it was, I wanted it to be. Let this be the last time Ji Yoon's name will come out of your mouth or Eun Kyung's..."
Choon Hee looked at him through the screen as he said this, she exhaled slowly looking from the laptop.
"If there's nothing more to say, I'll leave...I need to attend to something very important. We'll have a zoom meeting with all the elects by tomorrow. Goodbye" with that he logged out of the meeting.
Eun Woo cleared her throat. "I need to help my mom make dinner" with that she left too and Choon Hee followed leaving Seung alone, he clenched his fist still boiling at what Seo Jun said.
"You'll regret talking to me like that, I promise you Choi Seo Jun!". He logged out, he looked at his window before punching hard on the table.
The school was rowdy the next day, all the students were running to the notice board to see if their names were on the list of people nominated to go for the competition in Busan.
"Eun Kyung you were nominated" shouted Nari running to her
"Calm your voice Nari"
"Sorry, I'm just happy, I think Seo Jun nominated you, let's so check the sign board, they say whoever nominated you will be your head"
Eun Kyung scoffed. 'Seo Jun her head?'
"Let's go!" Said Nari grabbing her hand.
Both of them rushed to the notice board looking for Seo Jun's name
"Seung nominated Gyeong Hui and a junior Ye Jun. Eun Woo nominated Ye Rim and a junior Na Ra. Aha..........Seo Jun nominated....Seo Yun and a junior Ji Yoon...." Nari looked at Eun Kyung in surprise
"Well yes he's supposed to pick his brother but..... Let's just see who nominated you. Choon Hee nominated Eun Kyung and a junior Mi Soo"
Eun Kyung looked away wrapping her arms around herself.
'what did she do to Seo Jun?'
"Otoke" she whispered
"Why would Choon Hee nominate you, I just don't understand that girl"
"I need to sit Nari" said Eun Kyung.....
