You didn't even want to go to tonight's game. You and your Husband Mike had been fighting recently. You were doing all you could to avoid him after bickering and bickering. He had been sleeping in the guest bedroom while you stayed in your room, you weren't seeing much of each other due to your busy work schedule, and he was traveling for games. When one of you was home, the other wasn't you ran on opposite schedules. You hadn't been at the past few home games and this was the last one before he would be traveling again. You decided to go, you slipped into one of Mike's sweatshirts and a pair of leggings. You always had a seat low to the glass which you regretted choosing for the season at this moment. You went to the game and found your usual seat, you tried to keep your head down as warmups started but you couldn't help but look at him. You two made eye contact and he looked at you and gave a nod to the tunnel, you knew what that meant. You began to feel stressed while watching the game as it was getting close. You were worried if Mike would still want to see you after the game, luckily he won in overtime, leaving him in a good mood. You ran down to the tunnel after seeing him get off the ice with a smile on his face. You hadn't seen him happy in quite some time that you couldn't help but smile. You missed seeing him smile, you waited outside the locker room and got a few smiles from his teammates while waiting for Mike. He walked out of the locker room carrying his bag, and almost walked past you without even seeing you there.

"Mike?"

"Oh hey Y/N,"

"Why'd you call me down here?"

"I wanted to apologize, honey, I don't know what happened with us, but I hate that we are fighting," he said breaking eye contact with you, looking down at his feet. You reached for his hand,

"I'm sorry too, we have no reason to be fighting," you smiled

"I forgive you, Y/N,"

"I forgive you too, and I missed having you around,"

"Glad I've been missed," he smiled, as he put his bag down. He pulled you close with the hand you were holding, you found your other hand resting on his shoulder. He pecked your cheek,

"We should have just talked," you said softly.

"Yeah, let's never fight like this again," he kissed you again. The two of you walked out of the arena, hand in hand, back to your car. You were so happy to no longer be back talking to Mike. You missed him even if it was only for a few days of fighting.

The two of you arrived back at your home and immediately began to make up for all the lost time you had missed spending together. You two began to get settled in bed after the game and after talking for a while you had fallen asleep wrapped in Mike's arms,

"Good night my love," he whispered in your ear as you dozed off.
