(Yoongi's POV)

As Ae-Cha's family and I finished up eating dinner, I couldn't help but steal some glances at Ae-Cha. She looked so damn cute.

"Min Yoongi, why don't you come outside with me for a moment?" Ae-Cha's dad asked in a serious tone. My eyes darted between Ae-Cha, Na-Bi, Ji-Hoon and her dad. I swallowed hard and I nodded as Mr. Kwon stood up from the table. I followed him outside onto the small balcony on the other side of the kitchen, closing the sliding glass door behind me.

Mr. Kwon then stood at one end or the balcony as I stayed right in place, barely moving. We both stood there in silence for a few moments, looking at each other and then looking away.

"Mr. Kwon," I coughed, nervously. "I want to--"

"If you want to pursue my daughter, you have my blessing." Mr. Kwon interjected. I rubbed the back of my neck with my hand, chuckling softly.

Well at least I know I have his blessing already, so that's a relief.

"I wasn't actually going to ask you that--"

"WHAT?!" Mr. Kwon's eyes widened and his bottom lip started to pucker.

"No, no, no. I meant I wasn't going to ask you that yet." I replied, as if to soothe him. His facial expression immediately changed and he had a grin on his face. "I want to pursue Ae-Cha, but...there's a few things I need to do first."

"Ahhh," Mr. Kwon sighed. "I understand that, completely. When I asked my father-in-law for permission to date my wife, my father-in-law put me through a series of rigorous tests before I got his approval. Believe it or not, I used to be quite the delinquent."

      "Really? I didn't expect that." I replied.

"Yes. I guess you could say that I got mixed in with the wrong crowd. But, on the first day of our sophomore year of high school, when I saw my wife walk into the classroom...I was head over heels for her. I vowed right then and there, to change my ways and get my act together. I wanted to become a man that would not only impress her, but her family as well. She was a lot like Ae-Cha back then."

        "Ahhh," I sighed.

"Then, when I finally got her father's blessing, my heart was overjoyed." Mr. Kwon replied.

Then he walked over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder and firmly grasped it.

"I may just be a janitor at your father's company so we're no where near your father's caliber of wealth, but as long as my daughter makes you happy and you make her happy, that's all I've ever wanted for her--well all three of my kids actually. They deserve nothing but the world." Mr. Kwon added in. "That's why my wife and I were so ecstatic when Ae-Cha tested in to Park-Sil Academy. She would be able to go farther in life and gain more potential."

"Well....I will say, Na-Bi is going to go places when she gets older." I chuckled. Mr. Kwon immediately started to chuckle too.

"Na-Bi is our little spitfire that's for sure." Mr. Kwon chuckled.

There was a brief moment of silence between us and we both sighed heavily.

"Now, I'm going to ask you a series of questions, and I want you to answer them truthfully, understood?" Mr. Kwon asked as he let go of my shoulder.

           "Yes, sir." I replied.

"Good answer." Mr. Kwon said in a serious but playful tone. "If you could pick one quality, what is your favorite thing about my little cherubim?"

I could feel myself getting slightly flustered, how could I possibly just pick one quality when I like everything about her?!

"U-u-um...she's tenacious, she never gives up." I stuttered nervously.

"Mhm, good answer, I like to hear that." Mr. Kwon said softly. "If you two were to get into an argument over anything, how would you want to resolve the issue at hand?"

"Sit down and talk it out," I replied, even though that wasn't the usual way I'd go about things but for Ae-Cha, I would do anything.

"Okay, okay. Would you protect her with your life?"

"Of course I would!" I replied firmly.

"Excellent. Now, as I've mentioned, my daughter's happiness is something I highly value--and if you would make her unhappy for any reason, I'll sick Na-Bi on you." Mr. Kwon teased. I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought as well.

"Ae-Cha's happiness, is my happiness. Mr. Kwon, you will have nothing to worry about when she is with me. I will take care of her in every way possible, I promise." I responded.

"Even if your family disapproves?" Mr. Kwon asked, raising an eyebrow. My heart slightly sunk at that question; as I knew that given my shitty relationship with my parents, and their holier-than-thou attitudes...that neither one of them would approve of a relationship with Ae-Cha. However, I wasn't going to let that bother me. If they disapproved, I'd be perfectly fine with it--and I'd follow Ae-Cha to ends of the Earth in every lifetime. I will not let my parents overrule my choice, if they were to push back, I'd push back tenfold.

"I don't need my parents' approval. Ae-Cha is who I want and I'd give up everything...the money, being my father's heir--I'd give it all up just to be with her. We could live in a rundown shack and I wouldn't care as long as Ae-Cha and I are together, nothing else would matter."

"Now that's what I like to hear. To hear you say those words, it warms my heart to know that you care about my daughter that much." Mr. Kwon replied. "The last guy she poured her heart out to, he ripped it out and tore it into shreds. I never liked that little bastard anyway. He was to smug for his own good."

"I hate to ask, but what was his name?" I asked, remembering that Na-Bi had mentioned the name Felix earlier.

"It was Lee Felix." Mr. Kwon sighed.

         I nodded and said nothing.

"Yoongi, you really are quite an interesting young man. It's kind of funny to think about...that my big boss' son is wooing my little cherubim."

I could see tears starting to well up in his eyes and without even thinking, I hugged him. Hugging him felt almost like a foreign concept as I hadn't even hugged my own father or even my mother, since I was small. I patted his back as he hugged me back, signifying his approval with patting my back as well.

"Now, I have one more...very important question to ask of you, Min Yoongi." Mr. Kwon said as we both unwrapped our arms from around each other.

        "Hm?"

"Before I give you my full seal of approval to pursue my daughter, I need to you to tell me this--" he then paused for a moment. "There is a song that I sing around the house from time to time, that Ae-Cha likes to sing with me...can you tell me the name of that song?"

Without even skipping a beat, I started to laugh just before I gave the answer.

"My Love By My Side," I laughed. "It's my favorite song too."

Mr. Kwon's face immediately lit up like a kid at Christmas.

"Are you serious?!" Mr. Kwon said excitedly. I nodded and continued laughing. "Sing it with me, come on!"

Within seconds, Mr. Kwon and I began belting out our lungs on the balcony for all to hear. As I turned around and looked back inside at Ae-Cha, she was smiling at me. She shook her head a bit as her dad and I continued singing our hearts out.
