Camp Oasis is home. That's how everyone here felt about this place.

Camp Oasis was (mostly) safe. It protected everyone. No humans can even see it or find it.

Cal was one of the demigods in this camp that called it home.

But if that was true, why was he sad?

He's been in Camp Oasis for a year. (technically 6)

Six years? But he's only actually been here for one. Maybe a month or two more if you count right now.

But it never felt right. Even though he's made so many friends here, some close enough to call family even, it didn't feel right. It was like he was missing something. He should belong here. Here was where people like him were, after all. People he could relate to. People who cared for him as much as he cared for them.

Cal couldn't help but feel like something was missing. Or maybe something he missed.

Cal knew what it was. But he tried not to think about it. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't. Doing so would make him cry.

Cal didn't want to cry. But he ended up crying anyways. Crying into Ricarro's shoulder, sitting on his bed.

He felt embarrassed. But that didn't matter. He was too upset to indulge in embarrassment.

Everything was sort of blurry. Cal couldn't recall when exactly Ricarro entered his room. Just that he did. And now he's hugging Cal tightly, letting him cry into his shoulder.

It was silent for a while. But once Cal had (somewhat) calmed down, Ricarro spoke.

"What were you crying about...?" He asked.

Cal didn't let go of him. But he whispered a reply.

"I...I miss it..."

Ricarro tilted his head in confusion.

"What do you miss?"

...

"My home."

But Camp Oasis was home. At least, it was now.

But home is where the heart is.

"Ricarro...I want to go home..."

And Cal's heart is in England.

My Cal/Khonsu furor was delayed but it's back. More Cal stories incoming.

Also, this was sort of based on something Ricarro said to Cal in season 2. He told Cal if there was ever something he wanted to talk about or needed something, then he would be there. So I thought that'd be something interesting to do with.

Poor Cal.
