NOTE! Yeah so this fanfic was the second one I've ever wrote. I decided to edit it and post it because I liked the plot. This AU was made by me. I'll explain more about it in the note I post after I upload this.
Kol's POV

The group was roaming the city streets. I was at the head of the group with Ana and Shino close behind me. The rest of the group was patrolling another part of the city. We had split up to cover more ground. As my group was walking, there was nothing but silence. I looked behind me to check on Ana and Shino.
Ana seemed alright. A bit of nervousness showed on her face, but that was normal. Ana was practically always nervous and shy.
I couldn't see Shino's face because of that mask he always wears. I was curious as to where he even got the mask from and how long he's had it. Even though Shino had his mask on, I could tell something was off. Shino was a lot more quiet than normal, and his body seemed stiffer. He also seemed to be looking straight at me, but not exactly me. As if he was staring through me.
It was kind of strange. I stared at him for a while, and he stared back.
Ana had noticed the awkward tension and tried to start a small conversation. Before she could even say anything, she was hushed by Shino. Now that wasn't normal. Shino wouldn't normally do that.
I stared at Shino. Shino turned his head to me. "Don't ask questions..."
We started to walk again. I was weirded out by Shino's words. His voice had a cold tone to it. Almost... ghostly...
As we walked, I could've sworn I heard Shino whispering things to himself. Barely able to be heard, but could be made out.
"Pawn..."
"What is it about him...?"
"Lies..."
"Don't ask questions..."
"Not good..."
"Buy her time..."
"Be a dear..."
Everything Shino whispered, and kept whispering was started to freak me out. Ana was clearly scared of Shino. She even moved away from him. After patrol was done, we had went back to the spot we said we would meet up with the rest of L.O.V.E
Shino seemed fine before. But after we split up he did disappear for a moment. When he came back he did seem to be acting odd...
"Did you find anything?" Colin asked.
"No. No villains." I responded.
"That's surprising." Kiyo said.
"Maybe you weren't looking in the right place." Shino whispered.
"What did you say?" Aurora asked.
Shino didn't respond. He stared at Aurora, then turned around and left.
"Does he want us to follow him?" Flex asked.
I shrugged. "I mean, I guess?"
We all followed behind Shino. At one point, he stopped in the middle of an alleyway. All of a sudden, the atmosphere seemed a lot more... Tense...
"I didn't think you would follow so willingly. However, Kol... there's something I wish to tell you..."
Shino said. Now I was even more unsettled. Since when did Shino ever say "wish" when saying something? He never does that.
