(Info: This takes place right after Set takes over Ricarro in season 2. Cal is trapped under the rubble, and Xylo and Inpu find him. I just felt like Cal should've been in more of a serious condition. I mean, he was literally SLAMMED INTO A WALL, AND CRUSHED BY ROCKS. Plus whatever magic Set used to slam Cal into said wall.)

Cal's POV

—————————

Everything hurt. Any part of my body I could still feel, felt like it was on fire. I couldn't move. I couldn't even open my eyes. I thought I heard people yelling. But I couldn't tell. It was too faint. It seemed far away. But it also seemed like it was close to me. Right in front of me, but just out of reach.

"C...l! Co...e on ma...!" (Cal! Come on man!")

I couldn't make out the words. But I knew somebody was there.

"Sp...k t... e...!" ("Speak to me!")

I wanted to say something back. I needed to say something back. I needed to do something! But I couldn't. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't move at all.

I couldn't even figure out who the voices belonged to. They sounded different though. There was more than one person here. What's happening? I couldn't process anything. It hurts. It burns. Why does it burn...? What's going on......?

Xylo's POV

—————————

"Cal! Come on man!" I said. There was no response. Not even the slightest movement.

"Speak to me!" Inpu exclaimed.

Still, no response. Cal wouldn't wake up. He wouldn't wake up.

"Inpu! The rocks! We need to get them off him!" I said. Inpu didn't even say anything. He only nodded and immediately started moving the debris of the destroyed pyramid out of the way. Inpu and I were being as gentle as we could, but we were moving things out of the way pretty quickly. Especially myself.

What if Cal couldn't, or can't, breathe because of all the debris on top of him? What if Cal was about to die? What if he was dying?! My hands were shaking slightly. The thought of losing Cal was dreadful. The thought of losing anyone your close to is dreadful.

Around 5 minutes later, enough of the debris was moved away from Cal, and I pulled him out from the remaining debris. Just looking at it once was enough to concern me even more. Cal's back was covered in wounds. Most of them didn't look too serious, but it was still concerning.

"We need to make sure he's breathing Xylo. If he isn't breathing and his heart isn't beating, we need to do something. Fast." Inpu said.

I carefully moved Cal so he was lying on his back. He didn't look well at all. He was covered in wounds. He also looked a bit pale.

I could've sworn I saw a tear fall down his cheek, was he crying? I could hear his breathing, so I moved my shaking hand towards Cal's neck. I pressed two fingers against it, looking for a pulse. At first, I didn't feel anything. My heart dropped. But then, I felt a small pulse. Small, but it was there. Cal was alive.

"He's alive. He has a heartbeat. It's faint, but it's there." I said to Inpu.

I continued checking over Cal, while Inpu roamed around the remains of the pyramid. Making sure we didn't miss anyone else.

I checked for broken or sprained bones, any fatal injuries, his breathing, everything seemed alright.

There were one or two wounds that were pretty deep, but they weren't fatal. Hopefully.

Inpu came back over. "We didn't miss anyone else thankfully." He said.

"Good." I replied. Inpu kneeled down next to Cal and examined the injuries. "These need to be treated as soon as possible. We can't risk this. He could bleed to death right here and now if we don't do something."
