Y/N looked at the door for a second, the door writing in bright colours said:

'E.L.F.S HEADQUARTERS'

Y/N looked at her daughter. "Would you like to open it?"

Tulip nodded and bent down a bit to open the door.

As she opened the door, Y/N gasped, the place looked horribly dirty and the tiniest room she ever saw.

Tulip wiggled out of her mother's arms. "Wis pwace iswn't vwery queen!"

Y/N frowned. "Yes...and it's clean, dear. A queen is a lady who rules a country."

Tulip nodded and ran to a part of the room and pointed to a corner. "Lwook! Were's bars and an ewlf!" She exclaimed.

Y/N closed the door and ran over. "Is there!?"

The elf was in the corner, staring at the ground.

"Hewo!!" The little girl waved.

The elf looked up and gasped. "Why are you here!?"

Tulip frowned. "I wust waved!"

The elf frowned. "I-I can't talk to you."

"Why?" She asked.

"Long story."

Y/N stepped in. "Oh, you poor thing."

The elf didn't look at her. "Especially you."

Y/N frowned. "Why not?"

The elf got up. "I just can't."

Tulip looked at the starving elf. "I'm Tulip!"

Y/N smiled. "And I'm Y/N."

The elf shook his head. "I would tell you-"

Tulip cut him off. "Twell mwe wor name!"

The elf flinched. "Yes, ma'am. I am Bernard."

Y/N grinned. "We're getting you out of here."

Bernard shook his head. "No! You can't,  Santa will kill me!"

Tulip frowned. "Why?"

"Can I explain in front of the child?" Bernard asked.

Y/N nodded. "If it's bad parts, I'll cover her ears."

Bernard nodded. "Well, 13 years ago. Santa came Santa, you know? All he did was shout and shout some more, I was head elf. He soon locked me up and said. "Your getting in the way of my plans!" The last thing he said to me, if I do speak. He'll throw something at me, and if he finds out I'm talking to you? Oh, well my death shall come. Then I have been here for 12 years."

Y/N gasped. "So dad was right!"

Tulip turned to Y/N. "Was he Santa before though?"

Y/N shrugged.

Tulip smiled. "Bernard?"

Bernard turned to Tulip. "Yes?"

"The new head elf now is Curtis!"

Bernard chuckled. "He was the head elf in training."

Y/N sighed. "I would have given up by now."

Bernard forced a smile. "I am slightly..."

Tulip smiled and walked over to a draw and opened it, reached for something. "Ah wes!" She exclaimed, throwing a pair of keys in the air. "Mummy, catch!"

Y/N caught them and was about to unlock the prison door.

Bernard shook his head. "No, no, no! Don't do that!"

Y/N looked up. "Why not?"

"Just because."

"Tell me." Y/N angrily spoke.

"Why would I tell you?" Bernard asked.

"B, I don't want you to suffer."

Bernard shook his head. "Please."

Y/N sighed. "Ok."

Tulip rolled her eyes. "Mummy, your swuch a swuck up!"

Y/N turned to her daughter. "Where on earth did you learn that?"

Her daughter shrugged.

Y/N frowned.

Tulip turned to Bernard. "Your jumpwer's ugwy."

Bernard raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah?"

Tulip nodded.

Bernard smiled.  "Well, I find your red jumper, it looks pretty cool!"

Tulip grinned. "Thanks!"

"Tulip?"

Tulip looked up at Bernard. "Hmm?"

Bernard knelt down on one knee. "How about, you guys get me out and we kicked some Santa butt? What do you say, Mrs Claus?"

Y/N chuckled and started to unlock the door. "It's Y/N, no need for that."

Bernard smiled. "We got this."

Tulip grinned. "Wet's go kwick swome Swanta bwutt!"
