After our almost heated argument about my career, i left my apartment, and headed straight to work.
One ting fi sure, me nah go make a man slice my bread.
I performed and did my usual acrobatics until i was tired and the clock hit 1:00 am.
I then began arranging the money in my duffel bag, from US to Jamaican and placed them at a side in the office section of the club.
When they were organized, i placed them in rubber bands and went to the automatic bill counter so it's easier to count.
I placed the first coil into it and it came up to $122,000.
Not bad. Eight more to go.
While i stood there waiting for the money to count, i spotted Kamani coming to my direction.
"A weh McNabb deh?" He asked, looking around as he walked up to me.
"Him vex mi dearest over the likkle job me a do."
Kamani chuckled as if he understood what i meant instantly, "McNabb proprietorial sometimes enuh but him mean well yer. Just talk to him and no bother wid unuh petty foolishness "
"Hmm me know but me nuh see the sense a him a try change me. Anuh like i became a dancer when we were together. That's how we met." I informed him, still feeling a hint of hurt at the way Kairon reacted since evening.
"Ah so make me show you a pree yuh zimmie but no tell him a me say so.
Kairon nuh use to good ooman." He started and i laughed at the way he said it.
"Yuh feel a joke? The type weh mad independent and nuh really give two shits a how much money yuh have cause them wah earn it fi themselves.
The type weh nuh frighten fi vanity.
Like Stacia and you.
Thats why him feel like him can control yuh now cause a so him use to control the skigheads and them fall a him foot sedway,
so a just you affi make him know say it cah work like dat yuh zimmie cause you a yuh own big ooman."
"Yeah i get you." I told him, trying my best not to laugh again at the way he aired out Kairon.
"Ahh me bad charge. Yuh pay cheque send to you account yer so make me know what is what. Me a go home now." He said, caressing my shoulder with his palm then placed it in his pocket and walked away.
