We took the elevator instead of stairs, and made our way toward my apartment. I used the mechanical key card to opened the door and allowed him to enter first.
He took the food and drink out of my hand, and headed towards to kitchen. He then placed them on the kitchen counter top along with his phone facing down.
As he sat on one of the kitchen stools, I could feel his eyes piercing into my skin.
I looked up at him to confirm my assumption, and I was correct.
Dah ute ya.
Trying to avoid the awkwardness and tension between us, I strolled pass him to go into the living room to put my belongings on the couch.
Thats when I heard him call my name.
"Karissa come back yasso and come talk to me bredgin."
Excuse you?
I turned to face him and then went a little closer, resting my belongings on the stool beside him.
"Yeah" I said to him, but it was more like a question.
"Why you a move suh? We did cool until me forward from the restaurant. Suh wahm?"
"Nothing." I responded dryly.
"Nuh gimmie dah bullshit deh. Me do something?"
"Kairon memba uh have somebody fi pick up. No bada waste yuh time yasso."
He stared at me confused then chuckled when he picked up on what i'm referring to.
"Yuh serious babes? A just the bartender uppa Kier's place did a ask me fi drop her home.. anuh nothing serious."
