Dear Will,

I forgot how much I missed cleaning! It sounds ridiculous, I know. I missed cooking and making my own bed. Daddy and I cracked open some paint and Leslie and I are helping to paint the living room and dining room today then tomorrow we're painting all the hallways on the first floor, the kitchen, and the bathroom. Luckily they're not too much work!

Em's brother and her parents are also coming the day after to help us with the second floor! It's coming together so nicely. We're all wearing horribly ugly Christmas sweaters, eating cookies, and listening to Christmas music.

Sometimes, I wish you were just a normal boy. I wish you were a normal boy I bumped into on the Carolina streets one Spring after noon. I think you would enjoy being normal. It's quite nice.

I think you also would like to have been here with us. It's kind of wonderful. I think you would enjoy all the quality time. The Carswells are huge on family time.

Oh! How could I forget? We put up the Christmas tree and decorated outside. It's magical.

But not as magical without you.

Alessa.
