Scarlett

"Alright, this is it. Are you ready?"

"Yes, let's go."

Charlotte and her father start walking down the aisle as I follow. An aching feeling pains in my cheeks from how much smiling I've done today already.

Walking slowly following the bride I lock eyes with Brody. He is matching with Justin in his dove grey suit, his hair pushed back and is stood tall with his hands clasped together infront of him.

I blush slightly and give him a gentle nod as his smile widens and his eyes meet mine, he gives me nod in return. My dress flowing around my legs as I walk, my hands clutch the flowers I'm holding. I am so honoured to be part of my best friends special day.

Charlotte reaches Justin and the priest as I find my place, stood to the left of her. I take her flowers as the ceremony begins.

As I watch the rings being placed both of their fingers and I hear the vows being read aloud, my chest tightens at the man I love staring at me and not the married couple. I glance to Brody quickly then back my friends, a warmth rising in my body at the look in his eyes.

Before I know it, Justin and Charlotte kiss as everyone cheers and I hand Char her flowers back. They make their way back down the aisle as I step towards Brody, who holds his arm up for me to hold.

"Thank you."

We follow the bride and groom into a private room as we witness the marriage being signed for officially, before making our way back outside.

I feel a pull on my arm before we reach the door, which makes me look back to Brody.

"You look so beautiful Scar. I love you so much." His lips touch mine, making butterflies errupt in my stomach.

"Thank you. You look handsome too. I love you." I place a kiss on his cheek before we intertwine our fingers and head out.

As the afternoon turns into evening, we all make our way inside to the main event hall. It looks amazing now it's dark out and the light's are all on. White drapes cover the ceiling and chairs, the centerpieces on each table are white and blue flowers which is the theme, midnight blue to be exact. My dress colour matches them perfectly. It's floor length with a leg split and a sweetheart neckline. My hair is curled and styled in an updo, and I have a little more make up on than I normally would wear but I feel beautiful, and I'm glad Brody thinks so too.

"Can I have this dance?" I hear my boyfriend's voice behind me making me smile.

"Excuse me, I'm going to dance now." I tell Charlotte's parents who I have been chatting to, while Brody went to the toilet.

"Of course you may." I place my hand in Brody's as we step onto the dancefloor.

As we sway to the music, my cheek resting on Brody's shoulder as his hand holds my lower back, I can't help but feel like this is a perfect moment.

The entire day has been magical, my friends are in love and happy and it's been wonderful seeing them like this in their hometown.

"Scar?"

"Mmm."

I pull my head upright to look at Brody, his eyes connecting with mine. Shivers cover my body at the intensity of our connection.

"I love you so much."

I smile, "I love you too."

"I see the way you look at them."

I know who he means, I glance in their direction as they slow dance not far from us.

"I saw it at their engagement party and I saw it today. You want what they have."
