"If you have no further questions then you are both free to go" Ms.Brown says
"Thank you again" I say shaking her hand
Carson and I walk to the Car in silence and drive home
"Put your phone on the counter and go take a seat on the couch" I tell him
He grabs his bag and walks inside
I sigh before going inside myself
"I send you to tutoring twice a week what have you been doing there if you're not doing your math work?" I ask
"I haven't been going" Carson mumbles
"What do you mean you haven't been going?!" I yell
"Carson I've been paying $50 a week for you to get math tutoring and your telling me you're not going! What the fuck have you been doing when you say you're at tutoring?! Have you been doing drugs?" I ask
"No I'm not doing drugs I promise!" Carson claims
"Well you've been telling me you've been going to tutoring which obviously isn't true so excuse me if I'm having a hard time believing what you're saying!" I raise my voice
"Ethan I promise I haven't been doing drugs" Carson says
I walk over to the kitchen and open a drawer and grab a drug testing kit I grab one of the cups that come with it and hand it to Carson he rolls his eyes but leaves to go to the bathroom and follows the instructions on the cup before placing it on the counter
We wait in silence for 10 minutes before the results show up negative
"So you haven't been doing drugs so where have you been?" I ask much calmer
"I've just been out I hung out with Autumn a few times then some other friends" He tells me
"How long?" I ask
"Since we got back from break" he tells me
"So you've also been hanging out with your friends when your grounded?" I ask
"Yes" he admits
"So let's recap you've been lying to me, forging my signature, skipping tutoring, hanging out with your friends when your grounded, not doing or turning in your assignments and to top it all off your failing math" I say
"Yes" Carson says looking down
"Ok well for starters your not getting your permit in a few weeks if your good we can discuss you getting it a month later in April but right now you getting it at all is out of the question" I tell him
"No no Ethan come on please!" Carson yells
"Carson the answer is no" I say
"Come on you can ground me for a month you can cancel my party but please let me get my permit please" Carson begs
"No I made my decision and it's final you are not getting your permit" I say keeping my voice stern
"I hate you" Carson says
"That sucks Carson but I'm not finished" I say
"You're grounded for two weeks, you will lose your allowance until you've paid me back all of the money I spent on tutoring since you came back from break-" I start to say
"Dude that's $300" Carson says
"You're right that is $300. $300 I've spent for you to get tutoring for math. $300 you wasted because you decided to go hang out with your friends $300 you're going to pay me back" I say
