Chapter 69

Vinny's POV

I am with Athena and Sandro right now at the hotel where Athena is working because I am helping them on preparing for the birthday of Athena's mother tomorrow. Its been a while since I've talked to Sunny but we always make sure to message her to give her update on what is happening to us and she would sometimes reply to us but never got the chance to talk to her because she was really busy with work and also catching up with her family. We do really miss her pero wala naman kameng magagawa kase she has her priorities and alam namin na hindi kame yun kundi yung company na iniwan ng dad niya sa kaniya and yung family niya doon. We have told her about Simon and Camille but she just seen our message and never replied. I still really want Sunny for my brother, there is really something in that Camille that I don't like.

Vinny! Biglang tawag saakin ni Athena kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya. Katabi niyang nakaupo si Sandro.
Yes? Tanong ko rito.
Tugtog ka bukas ah! Sabi niya at tumango lang ako. Last time pa kase niya ako kinukulit na tumugtog for her mom's birthday. Talaga? Payag ka na? Tanong niya ulit.

Speaking of Sunny. She is video chatting right now. Sabi ko at ipinakita ang phone ko.
Answer it. Excited na sabi ni Athena at kita mo ding excited din si Sandro. I answered the call immediately.
Hi! Sunny. How are you? Tanong ko pagkasagot ko ng tawag. Ngumiti naman siya agad.
I'm good. Nakakapagod at nakakastress pero kaya naman. Ikaw? Sagot niya at tanong saakin. Kita mo sa mukha niyang pagod niya.
I'm good as well. Sagot ko dito.
Good to hear that. I was trying to call kuya Sandro and Athena but they are both unable to reach. Sabi niya saakin. Napatingin naman ako kila Sandro na agad chineck ang phones nila. Are you with them? Dagdag na tanong niya.
I am. Sabi ko at iniharap ko yung phone ko sa kanila.
Buti at naalala mo pa pala kame. Sarkastikong sabi ni Athena sa kaniya na ikinatawa niya.
Oo nga, ang tagal mong hindi tumawag. Sabi naman ni Sandro.
I was just really busy. Kayo ba? Sagot ni Sunny sa kanila.
We are busy right now preparing for mom's birthday tomorrow. Sagot ni Athena at tumango naman Si Sunny. Mom is actually looking for you and she really wants you to be here tomorrow. Sabi ni Athena sa kaniya. Hindi lang naman si tita ang may gustong nandito siya, pati kame rin.
I really can't. My business partner is not cooperating with me because he thinks that I am a kin of a joke for him to be the owner of the company for a very young age. Makungkot na paliwanag niya rito.
Hindi ka ba talaga pwedeng umuwi? I don't like what is happening here. I told her.

Naiintindihan ko si Athena kase yan din ang nararamdaman ko. Sunny would always win over any other girls but she choose not to compete with them kase may masasaktan siya.
Masaya na akong marinig na may magandang dinulot yung pag punta ko dito bukod sa maaayos ko yung problem ng company and magiging buo yung family ng batang dinadala ni Camille. Sagot niya at ngumiti. Bakit ba parati siyang ganyan? Alam naming nasasaktan siya but she is really show to us how tough she is and I admire her for that but at the same time, I pity her for that because she would always deal with the pain alone.
Why are you so selfless? Choose yourself just even this once. Sabi ko sa kaniya.
Look Sunny, we are not telling you this to boss you around but we are telling you this things because we care about you. We wanted you to be happy that is why we are telling you to choose what makes you happy. Sabi naman ni Sandro sa kaniya. You would see her reaction changed, nalungkot siya but she eventually smiled after a second.
Look, I am happy on the things that is happening between them. If they eventually became a couple, then I am happy for them. Sabi niya ng nakangiti. Ikinuyom naman ni Athena ang kamay niya dahil sa inis. Letting go of our relationship is hard and painful but everything between us were settled even before we knew about Camille's pregnancy. I made my decision and I am sticking to it. She added and plastered a bitter smile. Wala na talaga siguro kameng magagawa since siya na mismo ang ayaw na lumaban para sa kanila and I think Simon is trying to move on by giving his time to Camille. Before pa kame makasagot ay may biglang sumulpot sa screen katabi ni Sunny.
"Sunny" the guy called her that made her turn around. The guy is tall and handsome but his appearance wasn't the thing that cought my attention. Did I hear the guy right? He called her Sunny? As far as I know hindi basta nagpapatawag ng ganon si Sunny sa mga hindi niya close na tao. Oh! Sorry. I didn't know you were in a call. Paumanhin nung lalake nung mapansin niya kame. Who is this guy? Are they even that close para Sunny ang itawag niya?
Its fine. Sabi ni Sunny at ngumiti. Those genuine smile, I haven't seen that lately. Tinignan ko si Sandro at Athena na pareho ding confused na kagaya ko sa nangyayari. Pareho kameng may mga tanong pero hindi namin matanong because were to shocked sa mga naririnig at nakikita namin. Are we leaving already? Biglang tanong ni Sunny sa lalake. Leaving? Anong leaving?
Yeah! They are waiting for us already. Tumatango pang sagot nung lalake kay Sunny.
Okay! I'll be there in a minute, I'll just say bye to them. Sabi ni Sunny at tinuro pa kame. Tumango naman yung lalake sa kaniya.
I'll wait for you outside. Sabi nung lalake at ngumiti pa. Tumango naman si Sunny sa kaniya at ngumiti pabalik. Ganon yung mga palitan nila ng ngiti dati ni Simon. Ano ba talaga siya ni Sunny? The guy turn around and walked away. Bumaling na saamin yung attention ni Sunny.
Who was that? Mataray na tanong agad ni Athena sa kaniya.
Sino? Yung kausap ko kanina? Tanong ni Sunny na parang hindi niya alam kung sino yung tinutukoy ni Athena.
Hindi! Etong katabi ko. Sarkastikong sagot ni Athena habang tinuturo pa si Sandro. Natawa naman kame dahil dun.
Si Franco yun. Sagot ni Sunny saamin.
At sino naman yung Franco na yun na mukhang close kayo? Paguusisang tanong ni Sandro sa kaniya.
A new friend. Tipid niyang sagot saamin.
A "new" friend that is calling you Sunny? That is kinda new. I said emphasizing the word new. Alam kong pinagdududahan din nila Sandro yun pagkasabi pa lang ni Sunny. I doubt that also.
He is just a friend. He doesn't want to call me Angel or Ange so I let him be. Makulit eh! Sagot ni Sunny saamin. This is unusual.
Sigurado kang friend lang? Usisang tanong na naman ni Athena sa kaniya.
Yes and if ever we get even further to that, there is no problem to that because we are both single and he is a nice person. Sabi ni Sunny na ikinakunot ng noo naming tatlo.
Are you out of your mind? You waited for Simon for how many years but to that guy, ganon ganon na lang? Sabi ni Athena.
As what I have said, we are just friends and I didn't say that we are going to be a couple agad agad. I just said, "if ever". She said and even did the quotation using her fingers.

I am sure. I really have to go, they are already waiting for me. I'll just call you tomorrow to greet tita. Sabi nito na nagmamadali na.
Okay! Okay! Take care and we miss you. Sabi namin sa kaniya.

She bid goodbye to us and turn off the call immediately. Sa nakikita ko,wala na siguro talaga silang pag-asa. They are both willing to take a step forward with some other persons by their sides.

Medyo konti lang ang chapter na to pero mapanakit pa din. Ready na ba sila Sunny at Simon to face the future with different companions? What do you think? Pursue ko na yung ganito o original plan pa rin?
