"Are you sure you'll be ok hun?" My mom asked as I sat down slowly in the hospital room.

"Yes, go get a coffee or something. This can take hours" I said brushing her off as she nodded and kissed my cheek before leavings

"So what you here for?" The girl next to me asked after taking a drag of her cig

"What does it look like? Chemo obviously, just like the rest of us in here" I said rolling my eyes

"No I mean like what cancer you got?" She chuckled looking me dead in the eyes

"I had a Tumor on my brain, they removed it and are hoping to get the rest out with this. I was stage 4 before they removed it. How about you?" I replied

"Lung cancer, terminal. They reckon I have a year left if I keep up with chemo if not then three months" she said blowing another puff of smoke out

"So you have lung cancer and your still smoking" I asked like she was absurd

"No baby, I found out I had terminal cancer and started smoking it's different" she shrugged "I only come to these to make my mom happy. If it was up to me I'd be across the world fucking bitches till I die" she chuckled

"Oh right" I mumbled

"It's Billie by the way" she mentioned

"Callie" I replied

"Sooo, Callie. What's on your bucket list?" She asked and I blushed

"No it's embarrassing" I shook my head

"Oh common I die in a year, I'll take it to my grave with me" she pleaded

"Yeah, happens on your first round. You get used to it. Here" she said handing me a juice box

"The sugars help and stop you from getting dizzy" she nodded so I opened it and took a mouthful

"How long have you been doing this?" I asked

"Two months now, every Tuesday" Billie smiled

"I'm every Tuesday too, maybe we can be chemo buddies" I winked

"Maybe" she smirked

"It's only because it's the only one I can taste now, I can't taste any of the others now chemo has set in" I laughed and she nodded understandingly

"What was your go to before though?" She questioned silently hoping for me to not disappoint

"Bubble gum" I smiled and she shrugged and pulled out a cig lighting it before taking a long drag

"Can I have a Turn?" I asked

"Baby Girl, im going to die in less than a year, you aren't. Why would I risk that?" She said seriously
