"Ma! Im headed out, I've got kaidens bag with me, I'll take him to mine tonight" I shouted and pulled my shoes on

"No he's coming back here" she slurred and stumbled into the hallway

"He can come here when your sober, I told you not to fucking drink. But here we are" I spat and put my jacket on

"Fine get me more vodka then" she huffed

"No, Ma. Kaiden will FaceTime you before he sleeps but that's it. Bye" I said dryly and grabbed his bag and put my AirPods in and began the walk to kaidens school

When I get there I wait a few minutes for the gates to open before waiting at the place we always meet just at the back of the playground and wait for him to come out

"You look young for a mom" I heard a voice beside Me I was startled slightly but took one of my AirPods out anyway

"No, little brother" I laughed slightly "you?"

"Neice" she nodded and flipped her bleach blonde Bob over

"How old is he?" She asked curiously

"4 going on 14?" I joked as we both laughed

"Melissa's just the same, she's 4 though. Sassiest girl you'll meet" she explained as we laughed

"I don't see you here often, how much to you pick her up.." I asked leading on for a name

"Billie. I have her for a sleepover every Wednesday night, but missed last week so I promised we can do tonight, and tomorrow. You?" she shrugged

"That's cute. I'm y/n" I smiled

"Yea, I love her like she's my own. Her parents are great dont get me wrong. But I just love little kids, especially my neice" she explained

"Yea, I get what you mean. I wish kaiden had better parents" I sighed

"For real? Want to go further, if you want obviously" she said gently

"His dad overdosed on coke infront of him when he was 2,and our moms a alcoholic. Not much else to say really" I laughed dryly

"Damn, he's only 4. Bless him" she sighed

"I know, he doesn't remember his dad so I keep it that way until he's older" I shrugged

"Second mom?" She asked

"Everyday, I had to drop out of college because he was going to be taken off my mom because of alcohol in his system. My mom was drunk and out vodka in his juice instead of water" I nodded

"My brother was like a second dad to me. My parents wanted to kick me out because I wasn't the Barbie they planned on having. When I was 13. So we both moved in with his girlfriend" she explained

"Damn, I'm sorry" I said and leaned on the dance behind us

"Yea, I try to go by that" I nodd and see the familiar blonde running towards me

"Big sis!" He yelled and jumped on me as I swung him around before resting him on my hip

"Awesome! I made a new friend. And everyone teases me because she's a girl" he sighed

"You can be friends with a girl, there's nothing wrong with that" I told him honestly
