"Babe!" I yelled out but was left with silence

"Babe! We need tampons for the spare room!" I shouted again

"Baby where gonna need a bit more than that" Billie walked in slightly nervous looking up at me from her phone

"Really? Why?" I asked

"We just got three siblings to be Forstered, for three months, maybe more" she explained

"Really?" I asked shocked

"Yea, 6 month only Ryan, 2 year old maddy, 14 year old destiny" she explained

"Well let's go shopping then" I said exitedly

Ok, so. Me and Billie found out we can't have children, a couple years back now. We met with a adoption advisor and she suggested to be foster parents for a while, and then go down the adoption route. Just so we can get a feel of what it's like, it's such a blessing role

The knock at the door signaled the arrival of the siblings, as I got Billie to stand with me as we open the door

"Good morning, O'Connells. This is, destiny,maddy, and ryan" our adoption advisor introduced us

"It's lovely to meet you all" Billie said

They looked like your average children, but I know there was trauma under the skin, mostly destiny

"Hi" destiny smiled shyly

"Maddy, say hi to the nice ladies we are staying with please" destiny told her

"Hi" she said and peaked from behind her leg

"Hi love, I was told by a special someone that a certain maddy likes candy. Would you like some?" I crouched down to greet her

"Des says no candy from strangers" she whispered

"Maddy, these aren't strangers. There are good people, why don't you go get a snack with her" destiny suggested

"Here, I'll take you" Billie offered as she slowly followed

"Are you ok from now?" She advisor asked destiny after he gave me her bags

"Yea, I'll be fine" she nodded and took the baby into her arms

I invited her in and we went and sat in the couch just to get into a more comfortable scene

"I just wanted to know, if there are any big no's for you, I just want to know so I know what your comfortable with" I asked

"Uhm, my moms a big no. I rarely talk about her. My dads a dick, none of my family want me. Don't mention belts to maddy, in any circumstances" she raked through as she ticked things off in her head "and Ryan can't sleep in the dark" she shrugged

"That's good to know, thank you" I nodded

"What are your rules, don't be scared. I know you have them" she asked

"It depends, just simple things like. Letting me know if your going out, not too late. Clean up after yourself. Just things like that" I nodded

"For real?" She asked shocked and rocked the now crying baby

"I mean what else would there be?" I chuckled

"No chore lists, no things I can't touch, places I can't go?" She asked expecting more

"No, not really. I'm giving you trust. If you break it, that's when the rules appear" I shrugged

"Oh right" she smiled and finally calmed down Ryan

"I'm sorry to ask, can I hold him. He looks unsettled" I offered

"I-I guess. Just no one's ever held him but me. My mom never even got to touch him before going back to jail" she shrugged

"It's fine if not I just hate seeing upset babies" I shrugged but she passed me him anyway

"Hi baby boy" I smiled and rocked him as he calmed down slightly

"There we go" I cood to him

"Does he crawl?" I asked and she nodded so I put him down on the  floor as he looked around skeptically before began crawling around

"He's safe. We baby proofed the house" I smiled and she sighed of relief and thanked me

"Des! Des! Look at what blue haired lady gots for me" maddy came running in and jumped on her lap

"Mads that's not very nice, why don't you ask what her name is" she said sternly as Billie walked in the room and sat beside me

"What's names?" She asked the two of us

"I am Kenzie, this is Billie" I told her

"That's a boy one!" She giggled

"Maddy, be rude one more time and you will have a time out. This is your warning, do you understand me?" Destiny said sternly

"Yes, sowy Billie" she sighed but Billie shrugged it off

Well moral of the story my mental health is down the drain so expect really irregular updates or sometimes none at all :) lmao
