It has been two weeks since Hailey started the new treatment and already she is starting to feel really sick. Lucas has been coming everyday to visit her and Lauren and Niall have been coming by when ever they could. Lucas came over and they were playing on the x box for a bit. Hailey ran her hand through her hair out of frustration and a lock of hair came out in it. She looked over to Lucas and he saw what was in her hand.
"Hey it's okay. Come on my mom is at the store I can ask her to grab a shaver and we can shave your head if you want to." He told her. She told him yes and he texted his mom.
"Oh hey Niall just asked me if him and Lauren can come over later."
"Yeah they can come. I want them to be here when we shave my head though." She told him.
"Okay. I will tell them. My mom said she is going to be here in like ten minutes." He told her.
They went back to theur game until Niall and Lauren got there. Her mom and Lucas' mom had gone home for a bit because her mom has not left here since she was checked in. When they got there all four all went to the bathroom. Hailey let Lucas shave her head.
"Hey Lucas can you do my head next?" Lauren asked.
"Oh and mine too please." Niall said.
"Are you two really going to shave your heads?" Hailey asked them.
"Of course we are. The whole team actually wanted to do it when they found out that you were going to shave your head today." Lauren said. Hailey could not help but smile when she was telling her that.
After Lucas shaved Niall and Lauren's heads he handed Hailey the shaver and asked her to do his head. She shaved his head then they went back into ger room and continued to play on the x box until their moms came back.
"Oh my what happened in here. When we left there were two kids in here with full heads of hair and now there are four kids in here with no hair." Hailey's mom said.
"Well Hailey wanted to shave her head because her hair was starting to fall out and since Hailey was going to shave her head we all decided to shave our heads. The whole soccer team wants to shave their heads as well." Lauren said.
Hailey's mom ran to all three of them and gave them a hug and she started to cry.
"Thank you three so much. You are all such really good friends to Hailey." Her mom said.
They were all sitting there until Hailey started feeling sick. She jumped up out of the bed and ran to the bathroom in time to release the contents of her stomach into the toilet. She felt someone rubbing my back. She looked up and all three of them were sitting by her. She laid her head against Lucas for a little bit before she started getting sick again. After a while she was finally done.
"Come on do you want me to carry you back to your bead?" Hailey nodded and Lucas picked her up.
After he laid her down he laid beside her and put a movie on the tv and they all watched it. Hailey eventually fell asleep leaning against Lucas. The next time she woke up she was feeling sick again so she ran to the bathroom again. This time it was only Lucss in there with her because Niall and Lauren had already left. They went back to her room and watched another movie. Eventually it was time for Lucas to leave so Hailey told him bye and he left. The doctor came into her room to take her to the radiation appointment. It went on for about an hour before she went back to her room.
Usually after she get the radiation she start to get really sick. She kept waking up throughout the night and running to the bathroom to get sick. Everytime she would get sick her mom would wake up and come sit in there with her. She did not get any sleep that night because she was up and down the whole night. She asked her mom to tell Lucas not to come today because she was not feeling well enough to have any visitors plus he also has school tomorrow and she don't want him to come because if he comes he will not want to go to school tomorrow.
"Are you sure that you don't want Lucas to come today?" Her mom asked after the nurse had brought in the medicine for her treatment today.
"Yeah I am feeling really sick today so I don't want him to come. Besides if he does come today he is going to try and stay really late and then he is not going to want to go to school tomorrow like he has the last two weeks." Hailey told her.
The nurse put a bucket beside the bed before she started to clean up everything. She left to go check up on some of her other patients before she came back to check up on her.
"Hey how you doing sweety? Would you like me to get you anything to eat or drink?" The nurse asked me.
"No I am fine. Do you want to play a game with me. I usually have my boyfriend here to play with me and keep me distracted but I told him not to come today." Hailey said.
"Sure. What do you want to play." She said.
"Um I don't know you choose." She told her.
She grabbed a game and put it in. They played for a little bit before Hailey started getting tired and fell asleep. The next time Hailey woke up she was putting everything back where it goes and she was leaving. She saw her mom was sitting on a chair that she knew was uncomfortable so she told her to lay in the bed with her. After she laid beside her she curled into her side and fell back asleep.
She woke up a few times throughout the night to get sick. She know this was a part of the treatment working but she always hate how sick it makes her. She just wish that she would stop getting sick and her cancer would go away.
Eventually she fell asleep and stayed asleep the rest of the night until she woke up to her phone going off. She grabbed it and saw that there was a message from Lucas.
Lucas💕: Hey I have to head to school soon I just wanted to see how you were doing this morning. My mom told my you were feeling really sick yesterday.
Hailey: I am still feeling pretty sick but I am feeling a bit better than I did yesterday. Have fun at school.
Lucas💕: I will. Do you feel up to me coming to see you after school today
Hailey: Yeah. I can't wait for you to come visit me today after school. You also have to bring me my schoolwork for the next week.
Lucas💕: I know that I have to bring you your work. I have to go I am already running late to practice. Everyone on the team keep asking me how you are doing.
Hailey: You can tell them that I am doing a little better. I am still getting pretty sick from the treatment though. Now get to practice before you are late because you can not blame it on me.
After they said bye Hailey ate some breakfast and turned the tv on and watched some friends before she started to feel tired again and fell asleep.
She woke up throughout the day. She was playing on the x box with her mom and when the nurse had some time off she would come to her room and play with her. Today was a better day. She was not feeling as sick as she has been. She was able to go out of her room and walk around for a little bit. She walked around the little garden that was at the hospital
