Pin's POV:

Though Kris left after warning and Son tried to assure me that everything was fine, I still had the feeling that something big was coming up. Kris was not going to let this slide this easily. I have experienced his ruthless behavior earlier and I knew well that he didn't have any boundaries when it came to achieving anything.

The way he had sneaked into my room in drunken state and tried to force himself over me, I still get goose bumps at the memory. "Pin, we should get going. Por and phi are waiting for us." Son reminded while squeezing my hand which he held in a tight grip to assure me that everything was fine and I don't have to worry about anything. But knowing Kris and his wicked tricks, I knew well that I couldn't be clam and think that everything will be alright.

There was no point in waiting because each passing second was slowly raising the chances of things getting worse or even worst. I exhaled heavily while nodding to Son as an indication that I was ready. He gently pulled me towards him as we walked out of the department.

Son guided me through several corridors before finally arriving in front of Boss's cabin where hardly few people were allowed. And since I was now part of their family, I had full freedom to visit him anytime.

Son pushed the door open revealing the large mahogany table that held a laptop and many files stacked together. The atmosphere was calm and the air cold. The place looked cozy and warm. Son nudged me to go ahead before following my trail and gently closing the door behind.

My eyes trailed over each and every surface of the room before finally landing on the two people who were seated in front of the tea table and discussing something serious. "Oh Pin!! Come my boy!! Have a seat!" Son's father called while gesturing me to come over and occupy the place beside him.

I looked at Son who gave me approving nod and I made my way towards the couch. The slight smell of coffee hit my nostrils and then I noticed four cups of coffee placed on the tea table.

I sat down beside boss while Son sat opposite to me next to his brother. "Pin, have this." Boss said handing me the cup of coffee. "Thank you..." I said in a soft tone while accepting the cup from him. I gave him a smile and saw him mirroring it.

"Son, we have got some information." P'Peak said in a serious tone. I felt that something was really wrong. This was not going to be a good news for us to know, definitely not when he was using such a serious tone as if indicating that it was something that could make the ground beneath my feet disappear.

I held my breathe as I looked at Son and his brother who wore a serious expression. "What is it phi?" Son asked. His head was now creased with worries and I can see him tapping his feet. He looked anxious and very impatient.

"The girl who went missing, we have found her. We have already began the formalities to bring her back home in order to allow her to meet her family. Thankfully, she is still alive but what happened to her is the worst and I don't want it to be repeated with anyone. And she is not just one victim. There are many. And some are already gone." P'Peak said, his face turning gloomy as he let out those words. That meant only one thing, they were all dead. What had Kris done to them? And what does P'Peak mean by bringing the girl back home??

"Phi, can you please explain? I am not in mood to guess or dissect the information. I am already going crazy." Son sounded impatient now. And I was feeling the same. "Kris tied the girl up when she came to meet him. He raped her before selling her off. She was then taken away and auctioned. She had spent her life being a sex slave and was on verge of dying when our people found her. The person who bought her had been abusing her and didn't feed her properly. She was beaten and locked up and then forced to have sex without consent or in other words, she was raped multiple times. Due to lack of food and proper medical help, she was slowly succumbing to injuries. The person thought that she is of no use and was planning to kill her. He took her out to some nearby river and was about to push her into water when few people noticed him and rushed for help. Seeing so many people running in his direction, he left the girl and escape from the place. The poor girl lost her balance and fell in water but thankfully, people saved her and took her to the hospital. There it was revealed that she was in poor health and needed to be treated urgently." Peak narrated.
