Pin's POV:

I returned to my bedroom after Son left. His words were ringing in my ear making it really hard for me to push him out of my mind. I lay on my bed starring at the ceiling thinking about what Son spoke. Who will have the audacity to tell his parents that he likes a guy and is ready to introduce him even before the guy has accepted him?

I thought for a very long time tossing in my bed and then lay on my stomach trying to calm down my mind. I felt a tender touch on my head and I turned to look at the person beside me. "Pin, what is bothering you so much?" Mae asked while looking at me affectionately. I didn't even realize when she walked into my room.

"Nothing mae... Just tired." I said while burying my head in the pillow. "Pin, I know what you are thinking. I am your mae and I can see through you. You are thinking about Son. Right?" she asked. I sighed and then moved to sit up with cross legs.

"Mae..." I tried to speak. "Pin, there are people who likes you for looks, some for money, some for their other benefits and there are some jewels who like you for who you really are. And Son is one of them. You won't meet a person like him again and again." She said.

"Do you remember the last time you thought of buying a guitar but was not sure about it? You took three weeks to think and when you actually made up your mind, that guitar was already sold. Good things are rare and people are always after them. You should consider my words. That's all this old lady can ask from you." Mae said while getting up and making her way to the door. She didn't say anything further but left silently after closing the door behind.

I looked at my cell phone that had a picture of me and Pond. It had been my wall paper since college days. I sighed and then called Pond thinking of getting some advice. The call was about to end when the great Pond finally thought of answering.

"Pin!!" the loud yell from the other side made me almost deaf. "Pond, you will make me lose my hearing ability." I stated. "Oops... Sorry... How was your first day?" Pond inquired. I can hear his bubbly voice which meant he had something to share with me. "Don't ask!!" I replied.

"Ow?? Why do you sound so low?" he questioned. I had no choice then narrating to him the whole story. "Are you fucking serious?? Damn!! Son is already head over heels for you!" he said. "Pond, you know this is not possible." I replied.

"Pin, are you still stuck with that thing? It is past Pin and it was not your fault. Whatever that happened, was a well-planned trick just to make you suffer. And if you are stuck with it right now than you are letting him win. Pin, try telling Son about your past and then decide everything. I am sure Son will accept you the way you are." he replied.

"Pond, it's not that. I am thinking about his family. I might say yes to him but then, I fear, that person might return and try to ruin Son and his family. If I love him, then I should at least make sure that he is happy." I said. By now, I was already sure that I have developed feelings for Son. And even if I wanted to escape, there was no turning back.

"Pin, first thing first, just speak to Son. He should know. Don't decide it before you have spoken to him." Pond replied. "I'll think over it. See you tomorrow. I am tired, need rest." I said and then disconnected the call.

The thought of telling the things about my past to Son was already making my heart jump. He will leave me if he comes to know. But isn't it what I want? Him to leave me alone?

I didn't have any strength in my body left to drag myself to the dining room so I asked mae to bring my dinner to room. I was actually trying to avoid any conversation related to Son right at this moment.

After dinner, I lay on bed contemplating with the idea whether I should tell Son about it or not. But how long am I gonna hide it? And how long will I let Son chase me around and then get hurt in the end? It's better to let him go then hurting him over and over again. I felt asleep with the resolution of telling Son about everything.
