Yesterday was surreal. I woke up from my sleep on the couch to a peacefully sleeping Dmitri in bed next to me. We slept for hours before waking up, with Dmitri leaving only briefly to get a change of clothing.

When he returned, we watched movies, ate, and went back to bed. No funny business, though I can't say I would have minded. Not that either of us had the energy. We both seemed to be catching up on months of sleep. This morning I woke up refreshed, and almost all the bruising on my body had faded. I looked the best, physically, that I've looked in a long time.

I hate to admit it, but I think Raina's theory regarding the release of energy was correct. The smile on her face, as well as Ally's, attest to the fact that she approved of this new medicine.

I was currently in my room with the ladies as Ally looked me over, taking notes as she went.

"Wow, Sky, these are looking great," she says, looking at the nearly faded bruise on my hip and stomach.

"You never saw the one on my hip, but literally two days ago, it was as black as the one you saw on my stomach. It's amazing," I laugh, the joy at feeling this great practically oozing out of me.

"So, you obviously tried what I suggested?" Raina says, prompting for a more direct admission.

I just nod, obviously not sufficient detail-wise, as she continues her line of questioning.

"We need to know, was it self-gratification, or was someone involved?" The smile playing on her lips tells me she knows the answer.

I blush, really hoping we don't remain on this topic for long.

"Dmitri is a good neighbor, really hands-on..." Ally chimes in, causing them both to burst out in laughter. I can't help but join in.

"Okay, okay, let me get dressed, and I'll meet you guys out there." I herd them out of my room and head to my closet, deciding on a loose flowery flowing dress and some flat shoes.

A short while later, I find Dmitri in the kitchen, where he hands me a fresh cup of coffee before we head outside to join Raina and Ally, who are sitting by the tables under the pine trees.

"It's lovely and quiet here, Sky. I can totally see the appeal." I look around, taking in the scenery Ally has just commented on. I suppose I tend to take this beauty for granted every now and then.

"Okay, so let's talk about what's happening here." Raina points an accusatory finger at Dmitri and me as we sit opposite them.

"The dynamic has changed since we last saw you guys together. For the better. I'm glad. You've also proved my theory correct about the pent-up energy being the cause of your bruising." I blush, looking briefly at Dmitri, who seems unfazed by Raina's words.

"I had someone look over the picture of the scroll you sent me, and they agree with your translation. At this point, I think it's safe to assume it relates to Sky and her curse. It is legit. The energy coming from Sky and the scroll are the same." Raina pauses, giving her words time to sink in before carrying on.

"The first part, 'cursed by love, hidden within, the power of all, the legends begin,' probably refers to your parent's request to curse you, but I'm not sure which legend it refers to. Each of the supernatural entities has its own legends, and none of ours speak to anything that is currently happening. We would have to request access to all the supernaturals' archives, which will take time. I have already submitted the request, so I'll let you know as soon as we have access."

"The second part, 'black or white, light or dark, fated mate, it starts with a spark,' who wants to take a stab at that one?" She asks sarcastically, looking up from her phone where she has been reading the translation from.
