Malakai's POV
A while later, Marionette walked in the house alone. I was in the dining room doing some homework.

"Hey sis. Get kicked outta the hospital?"

"Yeah. She's fine for right now."

"And Ven?"

"Glued to her side."

She walked over to me and sat next to me.

"How are you? You seem happy."

"I-I'm fine. T-there's just a girl at school."

"Ooooo. Have you talked to her?"

My face started to heat up.

"Yeah. She's really nice. She's got these bright green eyes. She's blond. Her hair looks so fluffy. She's got such a kissable face."

Marionette chuckled.

"Okay okay. Don't fall in love too fast now. Take her out to dinner first. Have you moved on and forgotten about Gianna and Ryker?"

"Yeah..."

"What's this girl's name? Have you gotten that far?"

"Anastasia."

"Does she know your name?"

"I-I think. Her locker is right next to mine."

"You should talk to her. Do you have classes with her?"

"Yeah. All of them actually."

"Damn! You've got a lot of chances there!"

At school the next day, I took a deep breath.

"Hey!"

I looked to my left. I saw Anastasia looking at me.

"H-hey."

"You're Malakai right?"

"Yeah. T-that's me."

"Are you doing anything after school?"

"U-uh no."

"Great! Do you wanna hang out after?"

What the fuck?!

"I-is this a dare? The last time I got asked out...it was a dare."

"Huh? What? No."

"Phew. That really fucked me up."

"Yeah. I know the feeling. Same thing happened to me."

"Really?"

"Yeah. That's really why....I changed schools. All it took...was one girl."

I noticed she had a semi colon tattoo.

"The guy I like...just straight out told me. His friends were laughing behind him."

"Did that fuck you up?"

"Yeah. I just got outta the hospital."

The bell rang. At lunch, Anastasia sat across from me.

"Hey!"

"Hey Anastasia."

"Oh feel free to call me nicknames. Hey uh...Ryker is watching us."

I turned around. I saw Ryker. I scoffed. I turned back around.

"He's the one who, asked me out as a dare."

"Oh shit. At least...I didn't almost lose your virginity by a girl that, was with you, only to get $100 from her friends."

"O-oh god."

"Yeah."

"So you're bi too?"

"Yeah. I've been with like three girls. It hasn't gone well."

"I've never dated anyone."

After school, we walked to her house.

"Don't worry about brother. He trusts me."

"What about your parents?"

"They up and left a few years ago. I moved here so, I could live with my brother."

She unlocked the front door and we walked in.

"Hello? Colt?"

She shut the front door and locked it. I heard someone walking down the stairs. I saw a boy around the same height as me.

"Finally! You brought a guy home? How old are you?"

"17."

I noticed he had car keys.

"I'll be back."

"Please tell me, you're fuckin breaking up with Donna."

"Yeah. Yeah. I am."

"Oh. This is my brother Colton. And this is Malakai."

Colton shook my hand.

"Don't break her heart. Got it?"

I gulped.

"Don't fuckin freak him out!"

Colton left the house and me and Anastasia walked to the dining room. We sat down and started doing homework.

I wanna kiss her!

I felt something go on my neck. My heart started racing. I leaned back in the chair. Anastasia straddled me. I gulped.

What the fuck?!

"I've liked you for a while now."

"Y-you h-have?"

"Mhm. I know you, you have liked me for a while now."

"I-I-I..."

"Since you came back....you've been staring at me. Did you...have this...deep inside?"

"W-what? I-I-I..."

She licked her lips.

"Be honest Malakai....did you...think about me while...you were in the hospital?"

"I-I-I-I did."

She started kissing me.

WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE?!

"I didn't know about Ryker asking you out."

"You didn't?"

"Nah. I wasn't there when that happened. I was in the hospital then. I thought about you a lot there."

I gulped again. She started running her fingers through my hair.

"Your hair...it's so soft. Let's go to my room."

"H-huh?"

We walked up to her room. She shut the door.

"I-I-I what do we do?"
