Raven's POV
"Are you doing this shit for attention?!"

"Why would I want attention from your ass?!"

"I don't fucking know!"

"I see what you're doing!"

"I'm not doing anything!"

"You want your new bitch to be her mother!"

"She's not a bitch! Watch what you say! Are you on something right now?! Are you high? Drunk?! Both?!"

"I'm not on anything!"

"Then what's wrong with you?!"

"Nothing!"

"You're such a backstabber!"

"And you're not?!"

"No! You should know this! I treated you right! I treated you how you're supposed to be treated! I did every fucking thing right!"

"And I didn't?!"

"No! This isn't right! None of this is right! We both agreed to, just fucking grow up!"

"You made it seem so fucking easy Raven!"

"That's because it is! I stopped going to fuckin parties! I changed the moment...you told me you were pregnant! I got a job! I've paid for EVERYTHING! You're nothing but...a manipulator!"

"I'm the manipulator?!"

"Yes!"

We argued until the cops showed up. I went to school pissed.

"What's wrong man?"

"My fuckin ex. I don't wanna talk about it. I'll only get more pissed."

The day was...decent until gym. We were sitting in our groups when, we heard screaming. The screaming was followed by gunshots. We all started running. I felt someone slam me up against a row of lockers.

"Hey! What the hell?!"

I saw my dad.

"Wasn't expecting catching you to be this easy."

"The fuck does that mean?!"

A gun was pointed at my chest.

"Woah! The fuck is wrong with you?!"

"You have to be outta the way."

"Why?! What did I do?"

"I want your mother back. You're the man of the house now. Therefore...you're in my way."

He took the gun off safety. He pulled the trigger. I immediately couldn't breathe. I slid down the row of lockers onto the floor. He crouched down in front of me.

"Damn. This is one helluva sight."

He shot me three more times. He took pictures of me. He ran away. I managed to get my phone out. I texted my mom then Marionette.
*Text Message with Marionette*
Raven: Baby?

Marionette: Hey!

Raven: My dad shot me. I don't think I'm gonna make it.

Marionette: WHAT?! BABY WHAT?!

Raven: I love you.

Marionette: I love you too!

Raven: I'm in so much pain.

Marionette: Stay where you are! I'm coming!

Raven: Stay away!

Marionette: NO!

Malakai's POV
What was that?!

When I realized what I heard, I started running.

Gotta find Zed!

I ran around until I found him. He was on his phone.

"VEN!"

I ran up to him. I sat down in front of him on my knees.

"W-what happened?!"

"R...run!"

"What?!"

He pushed me.

"G...go!"

I put my arms underneath his armpits and lifted him off the ground. I put one of his arms around my neck. I put the other around his waist so, I could hold him up. I started walking. I was dragging him. He was struggling to breathe.

"Stay with me dude!"

I slowly made it to the entrance of the school building.

"Almost there. Stay with me."

When we made it outside, Marionette ran up to us.

"Baby!"

She cupped his face.

"He's turning blue! He's getting cold!"

Marionette put Raven's other arm around her neck. She helped me bring him to an ambulance.

"I'm going with you! His mom is with his sister on a field trip!"

"MJ where's mom?"

"I kinda ran here."

"Of course you did."

I didn't when ask if it was okay but, I ran to the front of the ambulance. I jumped into the passenger seat. The EMT didn't ask any questions. I heard Raven struggling to breathe along with my sister trying to keep him calm. At the hospital all of us ran into the ER.

"Mari does Sheila know?"

"She does."

The look on Marionette's face convinced me that, she wasn't going to let them take Raven away from her. Without thinking, I started holding her back.

"Don't think about it."

"They're taking him!" She said as her voice cracked.

"RAVEN!"

I dragged her over to a waiting room. I pushed her down onto a seat.

"Don't even think about moving."

"I-I didn't get to say "Goodbye!" what if I lose him?!"

"Don't think like that."
