Chapter 11

Marionette's POV
"Please don't leave me! Please! I've known you since we were 4! I-I can't lose you!"

"Get off me!"

Sophie did something...I thought she'd never do....she slapped me. I started having a hard time breathing.

"Hey. Look at me. It's okay."

My chest started hurting. I collapsed.

"MJ!"

My eyes started to get heavy.

"Mari?! What happened?!"

My ears started ringing. My eyes shut.

"MARI!"

I heard beeping along with people talking.

"Broken heart syndrome? That's a thing?"

"Yeah. It unfortunately is."

"I-is she gonna be okay?"

"Hopefully. I've never seen it happen this quickly. You said she just lost a friend?"

"Yeah. Not even 5 hours ago."

5 hours?

How long have I been here?

"I want to monitor her, if she wakes up."

"What do you mean "If she wakes up."?"

"People can die from this."

"Huh?!"

"We're going to closely watch her."

I heard someone getting closer to me.

"Zed come back here."

"Wake up! Wake up!"

I groaned.

"Ven stop yelling. It's bad enough...I still have a headache."

"Oh thank god!"

I opened my eyes.

"Stop yelling. Please."

He ran away.

"She's up!"

I saw my dad run into the room.

"Hey princess."

"Hey dad."

"Glad to see you're awake."

"What happened?"

"Your heart went into failure."

"O-oh. Where's mom and Roxie?"

"At home. Your brother and Zed are here."

"I know. Ven keeps yelling."

My dad chuckled. I was kept in the hospital for a two weeks. Guess who showed up at my fucking house an HOUR after I got home...I opened the front door and saw her.

"Oh no. No no."

I slammed the door in her face.

"Damn babe. That was a bit rude."

Did he just-

My face started to heat up.

"I-I can't see her."

"Want me to deal with her?"

I shrugged.

"No idea."

Raven opened the door.

"What do you want?"

"I-I fucked up."

"No fuckin shit Sophie."

"I-I didn't think. I-I was just pissed."

"Huh. No wonder why, she didn't wanna tell you anything. You reacted the way, she thought you would."

"O-oh no. T-that wasn't a lie?"

"No. It wasn't. Why would she lie?"

"I-I thought she was making an excuse."

"Nope. She wasn't. She was crying over the entire situation. It's bad enough, she saw you while Onyx and her were walking into the clinic."

"S-she saw me?"

"Yeah. Were you there when, she collapsed or did you show yourself out?"

"I-I heard a thud. I-I guess that was her falling."

"You upset her so much, you fuckin sent her to the hospital. You literally broke her heart."

"O-oh god. I-I did?"

"Yup."

"C-can I see her?"

Raven looked at me. I just stood there. I felt tears stream down my face. Raven started to look upset. I just shrugged.

"If I let you see her, I'll be the reason, she'd be upset."

"How do you know if, not letting me see her would upset her?"

"You obviously don't know anything."

"T-that's not true! S-she's my best friend!"

"If that's true then...how come I didn't know who you were a few days ago?"

"S-she didn't talk about me?"

"No."

"I-I have no idea."

Raven started looking at Sophie again.
