Horace x reader

"Y/n!" Horace yells and I feel myself on the verge of blacking out. A hollow came and attacked the home. Mr Barron took Miss Peregrine and the others are already going to have to leave if they have any chance of saving her and the loop. Horace runs over to me kneeling down beside me as he checks me over. The hollow is gone for now but not for long.

"Horace, get out of here." I strain to say and he shakes his head. This is the only time he ever let his formal attire get ruined. "The hollow will be back if you don't leave." He refuses though until Jacob comes over.

"Horace, we have to go!" He forces him up but his gaze is still on me.

"I can't leave you." Horace says his voice shaking. "Please don't go."

"Horace, go. You have to save Miss Peregrine." I mumble as the world started fading.

"She's right." I hear Jacob say and Horace eventually gives up the stubborn demeanor and gives up.

"I love you." I hear him say and I could tell whether I said it back or if it was just in my head.

Either way I knew he heard me.
