Chapter 7: The Untamed

"I DON'T KNOW. They were just attacking us nonstop and we found out that they weren't dying anymore, until we fought that man."

The incident left us all hanging. I didn't know how it ended and how we arrived at the UCA. My mind was still clouded—full of questions that even my companions were having a hard time understanding.

"We lost track when you transmigrated to the forest. It's as if something is hindering us to see what's happening inside," komento ni General Vivor at napabuntong-hininga. "We sent immediate reinforcements to check the area, but the rogues stopped them from stepping foot in the forest."

Hindi kami nakapagsalita. Tanging si Mav na nakaupo sa tabi ng heneral ang siyang sumasagot sa mga tanong nito.

My gaze turned to Sev and Chase who were both holding an ice bag. Napangiwi ulit ako nang makita ang mga mukha nilang puno ng galos at pasa. Pumuputok ang labi ni Sev habang nagkaroon naman ng black-eye si Chase.

As much as I wanted to pity them for their situation, it served them right either. They didn't take the encounter seriously. Tama lang na mapuruhan sila para naman mahimasmasan ang kanilang utak.

"Ace, control yourself."

Napatingin ako sa heneral nang magsalita ito, pero wala sa oras kaming napatayo nang marinig ang sunod-sunod na pagtunog ng alarm system ng buong headquarters. The lights went off and only a beeping red light gave visibility to the room.

I was supposed to think that we were already attacked by the enemies, not until a heavy gush of power engulfed the whole room! I looked at Ace whose eyes were now glowing in intense green! His fists were clenched and I could see how he was breathing deeply. Dahil do'n ay napaatras kami sa kaniya. Hindi man nila sinasabi pero alam kong mapanganib na ang inilalabas nitong kapangyarihan.

"P're, Ace! Huwag muna ngayon! Wala pa sa tamang kondisyon ang katawan mo!" bulyaw ni Sev at mabilis na gumawa ng pananggala upang maprotektahan ang lahat laban sa kapangyarihan ng lalake.

What's wrong with him? Ayos pa naman siya kanina, ah?

I felt Chase's presence beside me, but I disregarded him. My eyes were pinned at our companion who was clearly out of control!

"Ace," General Vivor called him out again, this time, in a warning tone, but still to no avail. Instead, a huge amount of visible green energy was released from his body! "For UCA's sake, Kaicer, contain yourself!" Hindi na rin nito mapigilang sumigaw dahil habang tumatagal ay mas lumalala lang ang situwasiyon namin.

Kaicer? Was that his name?

Bumaling ang babae kina Mav at Chase. "Get the medical team and the security. If this goes worse, we need to restrain him again."

Tumango kaagad ang dalawa. I turned to Chase who also gave me a glance before leaving with Mav. They were instantly wrapped in a transparent barrier before stepping out of Sev's transparent dome barricade. Nang tuluyan silang makaalis ay alala kong tiningnan si Sev na napangingiwi dulot ng malakas na kapangyarihan ni Ace. General Vivor, meanwhile, was behind us, assisting Sie who was sitting feebly on a reclined chair.

I again looked at Ace who was still lost and wasn't even blinking! We were instantly taken aback when green glowing marks and patterns began emerging in his face and skin.

"G-General, he can't control h-his self anymore." Sev breathed heavily, trying to strengthen the shield that was protecting us. "Time's overpowering him! We n-need to hurry!"

Sa sinabi ng lalake ay nataranta na rin ako. Ano ba kasi'ng nangyayari at bakit ito nagkaganito? We were just talking about the incident earlier and he abruptly transformed to this!
