"Battle begin!" Hala exclaimed and Ash was quick on his feet, commanding his first move. "Pikachu, let's put on some pressure! Quick Attack into Iron Tail!"
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed as white streaks appeared around its body as it started running at a rapid pace.
"Counter with Extremespeed!" Kiawe commanded quickly. "Hurrr---!" Exclaimed the Legendary Pokemon as it dissapeared in the blink of an eye.
Pikachu didn't know where Arcanine was but it believed in Ash so it kept running. Then, Arcanine appeared again, right infront of Pikachu as the two slammed full-force into eachother.
The collision was judged even as both pokemon scooted back a few metres but Pikachu wasn't done yet. It leaped into the air, turned around its axis as its tail coated into a metallic silver. "Chu-pika!" Pikachu exclaimed as it slammed its tail, full force on Arcanine's head.
*BOOM*
Arcanine got slammed face first into the ground as it groaned in pain. A small cloud of dust, not enough to cover Arcanine, rose up from the impact.
"Alright!" Serena exclaimed as Ash started off strong. There were mixed emotions among the group. They were happy for Ash but also didn't want Kiawe to lose.
Keep it up Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash yelled.
"Flamethrower Arcanine!" Kiawe countered quickly.
Both pokemon released their own respective move with as much strength as they could muster.
*BOOM*
The moves collided, pushing back and forth, finally ending up ik a stalemate.
"Arcanine, Flame Wheel!"
"Dodge and follow up with Electroweb!"
Arcanine engulfed itself in fire and ran as fast as it could towards Pikachu. Then, As Arcanine was about to hit Pikachu, it jumped sideways. Arcanine had trouble to come to a halt and when it finally did it looked up at Pikachu. Pikachu turned around its axis, releasing a yellow, electric Web from its tail. Before Arcanine could realise what happened, it was already too late.
*BOOM*
Arcanine groaned in pain as the Web electrocuted it, engulfing it in electricity.
"Arcanine, get out of there!" Kiawe panicked but it was to no avail, Arcanine howled as the pain started to become unbearable.
"Pikachu! End this with Thunderbolt!" Ash yelled at the top of his lungs, pumping his fist into the air.
"Pika---CHUUU!" Pikachu chanted as it was high up into the air, releasing a bolt of lightning from its sparking cheeks.
*BOOM*
An explosion occurred as soon as the Thunderbolt made contact with Arcanine who howled in even more pain as it struck it.
"Arcanine!" Kiawe yelled in desperation.
The smoke slowly faded away, revealing the Legendary pokemon. To everyone's surprise was it somehow on its feet, breathing heavily and covered in injury marks.
"It's still able to continue?" Ash asked himself in disbelief. "Alright Pikachu! One more Iron Tail!"
"Pika!" Pikachu said as it took off, coating its tail in metal.
"Arcanine use Crunch, quick!"
"Crunch!?" Ash yelled in surprise. Then, as Pikachu swung its tail towards Arcanine, it leaped up and caught it with its mouth, biting hard.
