Mornings were always the worst for me. I hated them with a passion. I lazily rolled out of bed. Rubbing my eyes made it hard to see where I was going. In the result of this, I jammed my foot against my dresser. "Shit!" I hissed in pain.
I got dressed in a black slim fitting hoodie, with black skinny jeans, and black converse. I peeked my head in Harry's room noticing the bed was neatly made. That meant Harry hadn't come home last night.
My makeup was basic, concealer, powder, black eyeliner, and mascara. My hair was in long waves that flowed down to the small of my back. I sighed, walking out the front door before locking it. I trotted down the stairs leading to the parking lot. I had found my car, unlocking the door. I sat in the front seat starting the engine with a sigh. Here we go.
-
The day ended up going pretty smoothly. I still hated school don't get me wrong. I totally blew off my dad on that whole lunch thing. At this very moment I was at Tony's and I ended up sharing fries with Max and got a beer for myself.
"So halloween party?" Shai raised her brows at all of us. "I'm down." Toby shrugged. Cher sat on Toby's lap, nodding and shrugging. Harry glanced at me, then he smiled down at the twat next to him. "Only if you go." Harry spoke to the girl next to him, with a cheeky smile. Which, she agreed almost immediately. "Babe?" Max looked at me. "Uh.. I wanted to go clubbing." I stated bluntly. "That sounds like a good idea." Cher smiled at me. Ashlee and Shai all nodded along. Toby shrugged, like it was no big deal to him. "Harry?" I raised a brow at him. "Whatever." He mumbled. He slung his arm around the girl, squeezing lightly. I gave him a sarcastic smile, with an eye roll. "Sounds like a date, babe." Max kissed my cheek. "You guys made up awfully quick." Harry smirked. "Fuck off, Styles." Max growled. "Who wants to know?" I chuckled at Harry's foolish child behavior. Harry's expression went cold, glaring at me. I was pissed. I know I didn't have a reason to be. But neither did he. I mean I have a fucking boyfriend. "Lilly, this is Valerie by the way." Cher gave me a sympathetic smile. I had told her all the shit I saw last night, saving myself from the whole feelings towards him. Lilly smiled, "Valerie it is so nice to meet you." I didn't smile back. "We met when you were on the night shift." I sarcatically smiled. Max spit his drink back in the cup. Toby bursts out laughing. Shai and Ashlee both giggling. And Harry looked stunned that I would actually say that. Lilly choked on air. "Excuse me?" She asked innocently. "Do you do day shifts to?" I pointed my finger between her and Harry. "Cause honey, what you two have, isn't real."
-
"How the hell did you have the balls to say that?" Cher snorted as we walked to my car. "What I just talked about her job as a prostitute?" I shrugged it off with a light smirk. "Harry looked like he shit his pants." Cher was full on dying of laughter. "Dumbass," I laughed along with her. "Well, i will see you soon." Cher hugged me. "Yeah, bye. Love you." I yelled while she walked away. "Love you to, babe." She yelled as I climbed in my car. I started the car and began to drive to my house. Harry shouldn't be there. He is probably with Lilly. Ew, twat. I drove home, humming along to the radio. I parked my car outside my house. I started towards the front doors. The ride up the elevator was slow. I finally reached my floor and walked to my door. Unlocking the door, I noticed the place was empty. Thank god.
-
"Dinner tonight?" My mom asked through my phone speaker. "No thanks." I muttered, studying my bedroom cieling. "This is for your father. Oh I would love to meet Max, honey." My brows knitted together in confusion. "How do you know who Max is?" My bottom lip was being held by my top row of teeth. "I have a son who tells me things." Really? "Fine, maybe. Bye," I hung up the phone. I texted Max, 'wanna meet my parents?' I walked to the living room and plopped down on my couch just as my phone vibrated. 'I would love to (:' I rolled my eyes. 'Cool. Pick you up at six. Dinner at my moms.' I honestly didn't give a shit if he didn't want to dress up nice. I wasn't going to.
The door bursts open. Harry walked through the doors straight to his room, without a glance towards me. 'No, I'm on my way to your apartment.' He cant be serious. I dialed his number. "Hey... Max you dont need-... okay but... Max will you..... okay.. fine bye." Damn he was stubborn.
-
"You sure about this?" Max asks me as we stand in the cold air. We stood at the my mom's front door. "Yeah." I breathed, knocking on the door. The door flung open. My mom stood giggly at the doorway. "Oh my! Look at you! You're so grown and beautiful! It's been what two years?" I felt my heart ache a little. Its been two fucking years. Max's eyes widened. My mom embraced in a warm long hug. "Oh my gosh, I've missed you." She whispered in my ear. "My turn." I heard Mike's voice behind mom. "Mikey!" I squealed, squeezing him. I saw him every now amd then. Still rarely. I'm only acting like this because my mom doesn't need details about last night. "Oh my, Valerie. Look at him!" My mom gushed, hugging max. "Mom!" I shrieked in horror. "No it's fine. It's nice to meet you, Ms. Sherrwood?" Max sounded unsure. "Call me Shelly, please." My mother insisted. "Valerie," I heard a familar voice that made me cringe.
Dad.
