Brynn

My eyes flutter open slowly and I almost start to panic until I realize that I'm in Cgc's room. I decided to spend the night instead of going home because I hoped to spend a little more time with him this morning. I grab my phone from the charger it's plugged into. 9:35. My eyes widen and I throw my phone onto my bed. I have a lab at 9:50. I get up from Cgc's bed and fix it up as neatly as I can. My hair is an absolute mess so I throw it into a messy bun and grab the rest of my belongings before rushing downstairs. The house is eerily quiet because the boys have early practice on Fridays so no one's likely home.

I steal a water from the fridge for my slight headache and rush out of the house. Luckily, there wasn't much traffic so I was able to make it to class only two minutes late.

"Make sure to finish your reviews and submit them by 11:59 tonight! Have a good weekend." I'm out of my seat quicker than anyone. I need some coffee if I'm going to get through the rest of the day without falling back to sleep. "Woke up a little late today?" One of my classmates, Luke, says next to me. I almost want to shield my face from him because of how handsome he is. His light brown hair and piercing green eyes make him look like any girl's fantasy boyfriend. Then there's me who looks like they just climbed out of bed. I'm wearing the Nike pro shorts that I wore to bed and Cgc's hoodie. Oh shit! I stole his hoodie.

I chuckle awkwardly. "I may have had a little bit too much fun last night," I say. "Your 21st is always the best," he replies. "Oh, I probably had the most chill 21st but I had a good time," I say with a smile. "I saw your Instagram stories. You looked amazing and I'm glad you had a good time," he says. A small blush creeps onto my face. I looked good last night but horrific this morning and one of the most attractive guys on campus just complimented me. "Thank you," I say softly. "Hey, I wanted to ask-"

"Brynnie!" My head snaps away from Luke's direction when I hear my name. Cgc walks toward us with a rare smile on his face. "Hey," I greet him. "Still got my hoodie on, yeah?" A smirk tugs onto his lips. "I woke up at 9:35 and had a lab at 9:50. Plus it's not like I planned on sleeping over at your place so I didn't have a change of clothes," I defend. He laughs and his attention shifts over to my side. I turn and notice Luke is still standing next to me. "Oh! Luke this is my friend Cgc," I say. "I know who he is. How's it going, man?" Luke says, patting Cgc's arm once. Cgc juts his head out. "Fine, thanks."

"Oh, you were gonna ask me something?" I say to Luke interrupting their awkward interaction. "I'll get back to you about it. See you Monday?" Luke says as he walks away backward. "Sure! Bye Luke!" I wave him goodbye. He smiles at me once more before turning around completely. I look back at Cgc who watches Luke walk off. "Do you like hate him or something?" I ask curiously. Their interaction wasn't exactly. . . friendly. "No. I don't even know the guy," he replies. My brows pull together slightly. "He said he knows who you are, though," I say. Cgc chuckles."Everyone knows who I am," he says cockily.

I roll my eyes and start to walk away from him. He laughs from behind me but doesn't fail to catch up with his long strides. "Where you headed?" he asks. "I have to get something to drink, so café. You?" I reply. "Home, I need to finish packing since our flight leaves at 7 tonight." I groan, remembering that ours does too. It's still early and I have one more class today so I probably won't get any more sleep until we land in Oregon tonight. Sleeping on planes is almost impossible for me to do. "Haven't packed yet?" he questions. I shake my head. "I'm a procrastinator when it comes to packing for away games," I admit.

"Fucking same. Plus this whole week has been too stressful. I'm not ready for tomorrow's game," he tells me. I furrow my brows at his statement. "I thought you were the only one who was somewhat confident about tomorrow," I say. He nods. "I was but now I know why everyone's been so stressed. These guys are fucking good. I'm at a fifty, fifty at whether or not we'll win." He sighs. I stop in front of him abruptly and he does the same. "You guys got this! Don't start doubting yourself now, Cgc Scott," I say, tapping his chest with the back of my hand. "You think we can win?" he asks.
