Think of God not as one thing with one side, but many. God is pure, and in His light we can hide neither our sin, nor our shame. As humans, we all share the burden of sin, shame, negative feelings, and strife. We are not meant to be stuck in those burdens, but to be ever-evolving creatures. Follow Jesus's example with His life, follow the ways in which He was separate from the world's ways. He did not sin, yet managed to live in the world amongst sinners and holy people alike.
God is not condoning our sin, or making excuses for us. He is going to be our judge, understand that He is God of truth and hope-not content to let us suffer. Be Holy. Do not let our sinfulness spread, we have the help of Jesus. Our sin does not just affect ourselves, but those around us, and eventually God. Look at yourselves, know we are not pure, understand the gravity of this, and then let's change not only for others, or ourselves, but for our loving God.
Scripture: Isaiah 6:1-5
